Chris carries many years of brewing experience with him, including work with the notable brewery, Smog City, in Torrance, CA. Chris also has a Master of Science Degree in Biochem from CSU Long Beach, which has only helped develop his brewing knowledge even further. Brass Jar has aromas of dank hops with flavors of caramel, toffee, and flan all coming in the forefront, finishing with a dry, hoppy bitterness.

Belching Beaver was started with two principles in mind, make quality craft beer, and make a beer for all different palettes. Today, the brewery still runs with these same core principles. They have a beer for all different tastes and they always make sure that they’re having a good time doing it. This IPA has a tropical, dank aroma with mango, pine, and orange peel flavors.

We’re also very excited to sit with our good friend, the singer/songwriter Joe Dante, who just released his debut EP, 'Do Ya Hear Me'. We’ll also be listening to one of his (and our) favorite songs on the album, 'Hiccups.'

Hi fellow brew seekers. This week on Friends Drink Beer, we try ‘Jai Alai’ by Cigar City Brewing. Cigar City Brewing is a Tampa Bay, FL based brewery who recently expanded its distribution in 2018, making Jai Alai available in Southern California. This is a very sought after IPA, due to its old school respect to the style. Jai Alai is named after a game that is native to the Basque Region of Spain. Players would attempt to use a curved mitt to catch a ball that can travel with speeds up to 188 mph. The beer has a citrus & tropical fruit aromas with a citrus bitterness and hints of caramel & tropical fruit hops on the backend.
