Friends From Work

Attending the world premiere of Fantastic Four. Having your comic work adapted for Daredevil: Born Again. Loving Iron Man 3 and Endgame. What do these things have in common? They are all topics covered by the great Chip Zdarsky!

Chip has been working in comics for over a decade and has become a legend in that world by creating "Sex Criminals," "Daredevil," "Howard the Duck," and "The Spectacular Spider-Man." And he's currently working on a new Captain America volume.

You won't want to miss this engaging conversation we had with Chip Zdarsky.

We have a bonus feed called Friends From Work+ where you as a supporter can receive extra episodes of Friends From Work, comic book coverage, and this series we call "Screensaver" where we discuss non-MCU films. It costs $8 a month and you can subscribe on Patreon, Spotify or Apple. It directly supports this podcast and helps us to continue doing what we are doing.

Today we are giving away a free Screensaver episode covering James Gunn's "Superman" as an example of these kinds of bonus episodes. Enjoy (the movie kicked butt)!

A few weeks ago, Kevin Feige (Marvel Studios) sat down with a group of reporters and caught everyone up on where things stand within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In today's episode, we go through each talking point quote by quote and discuss what it will mean for the next few years of the MCU.

Where does "Ironheart" rank? How about WandaVision? Is Secret Invasion as bad as the internet tells you it is? We discuss all of this and more in the third part of our "rankings" series where we place all of the MCU Disney+ shows in a tier.

After years of theorizing, you know who has finally made his MCU debut. The rumors were true! We can't wait to dive in to what that means for Riri but also the MCU at large as we prepare for Fantastic 4: First Steps and Avengers: Doomsday.

Who would have ever thought that Ironheart and Avengers: Doomsday could be tied?

It was just a few weeks ago that we were talking about Ironheart being the least anticipated project in the MCU's long history. But after watching the first three episodes, we are left wondering, why didn't Marvel promote this more? This show is way too good to be left out of the party. So buckle up because Ironheart is a connected MCU show that we all need right now, and it brings some fun twists and unexpected turns along the way.

A few weeks ago, we went back and ranked every project from the MCU Infinity Saga and our journey continues with our official rankings of all the movies within the Mulitverse Saga. Even though there are only 13 movies that have released thus far, this episode turned into 90 minutes of discussion as to which tier each one falls into.

Are any of these hot takes? Where are we wrong? Where are we right? How does your list differ? Be sure to let us know in the comments!
