When life gets hard, we look around and our tribe is always there--praying, texting, calling, showing up at hospital visits, and helping us get through treatments. They may not be blood family, but God sent them into our lives for a reason. Their love, faith, encouragement, and support remind us that we are not fighting alone.
To my tribe: thank you for being down for the fight and for continuing to show up.
Do you have a tribe? Who showed up for you during your greatest time of need, and how did they help you through it? Share your story and encourage someone else.

When my husband's cancer returned, we expected our family to stand with us. Instead, many never called, never texted, never visited and some even believed we were lying about his cancer diagnosis. The heartbreak was real--but so was God's faithfulness.
God surrounded us with an incredible tribe of people who weren't related by blood, didn't grow up with us, and didn't know our story. Yet they showed up during hospital visits, encouraged us through cancer treatments, prayed with us during scan, and stood beside us at doctor's appointments. They became the family God knew we needed.
This episode is powerful reminder that family isn't always defined by blood---sometimes it's defined by love, loyalty, faith, and showing up when it matters most.
Have you found your tribe? Who has stood by you during life's hardest moments? I'd love to hear your story in the comments.

What happens when the people you expect to stand by your side don't believe your pain?
In this heartfelt episode, I share the heartbreaking reality our family's prostate cancer journey after we learned my husband's cancer had returned. Instead of receiving love, support, and encouragement. some of our own family members believed we were lying about his diagnosis. Their disbelief, silence, and absence deeply wounded us during one of the hardest seasons of our lives.
But even in the middle of rejection, God never left us. He reminded us that His presence, His peace, and His faithfulness are greater than the opinions of others. When people walked away. God stayed.
Have you ever experienced family or friends doubting your struggle during a difficult season? How did you heal? How did you move forward? I'd love to hear your story in the comments because your testimony could encourage some else.

For two years, my braids became more than a hairstyle--they became a way to hide the pain I carried as a caregiver. But when we heard the heartbreaking words for the third time, "Cancer is back," I made a bold decision, I cut it all off.
This wasn't just about hair. It was a declaration of faith, strength, and unwavering solidarity with my husband as we continue this cancer journey together. I refuse to give up. I refuse to let fear win. And I refuse to stop believing that God is still working, even in the hardest seasons.
Have you or someone you love faced cancer, chronic illness, or another life-changing diagnosis? How did you find the strength to keep fighting? What helped you hold on to hope? Share your story in the comments--your testimony may encourage someone else.

Everyone noticed my new look. I decided to change my hairstyle and got beautiful blonde braids. The compliments poured in: "You look amazing!" "Your hair is beautiful!" On the outside, I looked refreshed and confident.
But inside...nothing had changed.
Behind every braid was the same hidden pain-the emotional weight of being a caregiver, watching my husband battle illness, managing treatments, doctor appointments, medications, and carrying the silent burden that so many caregivers know all too well. Sometimes we change our appearance, hoping no one will see the hurt we're carrying inside.
Have you ever smiled on the outside while silently hurting on the inside? Have you ever changed your look to hide what you were really feeling?

As caregivers, we become so focused on doctor appointments, medications, treatments, and the health of the people we love that we often forget about our own health. I missed my annual physical, my mammogram, my wellness exams, my eye appointments, and even routine checkups because I was pouring everything I had into someone else.
But here's the question we rarely hear: What about us, the caregivers?
Who reminds us to schedule our appointments? Who checks on our mental health, our physical health, and our emotional well-being?
In this heartfelt episode, I share my personal journey as a caregiver and why putting ourselves last can come with serious consequences. This conversation is for every caregiver who has ever felt invisible while caring for someone they love.
Have you ever put your own health on hold while caring for someone else? If so what happened? How did you find your way back to taking care of yourself? Share your story in the comments--I would love to hear from you and build a community where caregivers support one another.

As caregivers, we spend so much time making sure our loved ones get to their doctor's appointments, treatments, scans, and follow-up visits that we often forget about ourselves. We miss our annual physicals, mammograms, eye exams, dental appointments, and wellness checkups because we're focused on everyone else's health.
But what about us?
Everyone asks, "How is the patient doing?" Yet very few people stop and ask, "How are YOU doing?"
Caregiver burnout is real. The stress, exhaustion, and emotions weight can cause us to neglect our own health until our bodies force us to slow down. Sometimes we need a reset. Sometimes we need to make ourselves a priority again.
In this powerful episode, we're having an honest conversation about caregiver self-care caregiver health, and why taking care of yourself is not selfish--it's necessary.
Caregivers, I'm talking directly to YOU. Have you ever postponed your own appointments while caring for someone else? How did you overcome it? How did you finally make time to reschedule and take care of yourself?
Share your story in the comments. Your testimony may help another caregiver who feels overwhelmed and alone.

Caregiver's Cry for Help: We Matter Too
As caregivers, we spend countless hours caring for the people we love---managing medications attending appointments, offering comfort, and carrying burdens that few people see. But who checks on us? Who asks about our tears, our fears, our prayers, and our emotional exhaustion?
In this heartfelt episode, I share the hidden struggles for caregiving and remind every caregivers that you matter too. Your tears matter. Your prayers matter. Your mental health matters. You well-being matters. It's time to acknowledge the silent sacrifices caregivers make every single day.
Have you ever felt overlooked while caring for someone else? Have you cried along, prayed though the night, or felt emotionally drained from carrying so much responsibility?
I'd love to hear your story. How did this episode make you feel? Share your thoughts in the comments and join our growing community of caregivers who understand the journey.

We were finally living life again. The doctor visits had stopped, the radiation treatments were behind us, and the scans were clear. We were traveling. laughing, and embracing every sunrise and sunset with gratitude. Life felt normal again.
Then the doctor walked back into the room and said the words we never wanted to hear: "The cancer is back."
In an instant, our world changed. More doctors. More scans. More radiation. More appointments. The emotional roller coaster started all over again.
But as a caregiver, I have a question: What about us? Everyone asks how the patient is doing. but few ask how the caregiver is surviving. The exhaustion, fear, sleepless nights, and emotional weight can be overwhelming.
Join me as I share the raw reality of hearing cancer has returned and what it means to walk this journey once again with faith, hope, and determination.

After hearing the words "Cancer Free," we began living again. We traveled, laughed, watched breathtaking sunrises, shared unforgettable dinners, and cherished every precious moment together. Life felt sweet precious moment together. Life felt sweet precious moment together. Life felt sweet again, and we thanked God for every blessing.
But then the unexpected happened--cancer returned.
In this powerful and emotional episode, I share our journey of facing cancer a second time, the fear the uncertainty, and the unwavering faith that continues to carry us through. If you or someone you love has ever battled cancer, this episode will remind you that even in life's darkest moments, God is still present.
Be encouraged. Stay strong. Keep praying. Keep believing.
