Rachel Martin is the founder of Play, Rest & Work and as a coach and mentor she's on a mission to support ambitious midlife women who long to be bolder in their careers. She is helping women overcome their 'Good Girl' syndrome, and stop doubting themselves, denying what they want, asking for permission & seeking external approval.
There's a bit of swearing in this one, so you might want to grab the headphones if there are little ones about (or office buddies!).

My invitation for you today is just to trust yourself a little bit more.
We hold ourselves back so often from a lack of trust in ourselves, and n over-reliance on comparison with others. I know I'm definitely guilty of having done that.
Listen in as I explore just why it's so important to trust yourselves, the reason it can make such a difference, and what I'm doing about it.

I've been thinking about you. I'm wondering how often you speak unkindly to yourself; in a way that we would never speak to our friends?
These last couple of weeks have been spent talking about the inner critic. In this short episode, I wanted to reflect a bit on that, including my own recent experience, why your coven can make a difference and how you're very definitely not alone.

Every year, as part of The Retrospective (my annual journalling workshop all about using the joy and energy from the previous year to set intentions for the coming one), I choose a word to guide my year ahead. It's a powerful way to set my intention for the year.
The word you choose can't ever be wrong, as it's the right one for you. As long as you connect to it and are clear on what it means to you, it's the one for you!
In this episode I explore why you should choose a word and the difference it can make for your year ahead.

Let's imagine how it would feel to stop dreaming and start realising. Summer is a time for dreaming big, for tapping into what you would love to be different, but the 'back to work' vibe knocks it out of us.
How about if this year was different? Imagine if this year was the year that you moved from daydreams to reality...
That's what we discuss in this episode of From Inside the Hive.
