I have my friend Mark Gillen on the podcast. Talks about growing up in LA during the counterculture witnessing drug overdoses on a regular basis including his cousin who passed away from a hotshot. He want on to serve the military and was using heroin and Quaaludes on a regular basis in Germany. Coming back to his home his addiction only got worse until he checked himself into an outpatient program and got connected with the recovery community in Los Angeles. Moving to Oceanside California Mark has been big part of the recovery community in San Diego and has been clean and sober for over 42 years (6-12-84)
