Clarice Schillinger, longtime regular guest of the Dom Giordano Program, offering her expertise on school board issues, rejoins the Dom Giordano Program to make a huge announcement. Schillinger, the former President of Keeping Kids in School and Back to School PA PAC, tells why she’s decided to run for lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania, and explains why her experience working to get apolitical school board officials elected would succeed while holding an executive seat. Schillinger and Giordano discuss issues persisting throughout the State, with Clarice explaining that do-nothing politicos have led us to state-wide failures in crime and Coronavirus.

Then, after playing Dom’s Money Melody, Dom continues discussing crime in Philadelphia, playing back a portion of today’s inauguration press conference for District Attorney Larry Krasner’s second term, with Krasner alleging that we’re seeing a nationwide surge of progressive policies because people want to be safe.

After that, Joan Cullen, President of the Pennridge School District, rejoins the Dom Giordano Program to explain why she and her district have decided to welcome in the opinions of parents in determining curriculum, going against the grain of school boards prioritizing progressive ideology over the wants and needs of parents. Conflict arose last week after a policy set forth by the board caused at least one LGBTQ book, “Heather Has Two Mommies,” to be removed from school libraries. Giordano asks about the decision, offering the progressive point of view,  with Cullen explaining that there are certain issues that should be taught when parents find the need appropriate.
