Wildwood Mayor Pete Byron joins Dom Giordano to lead off the second hour of today’s show, discussing the shore town and what’s going on during the slow season. First, Giordano and Byron discuss Wildwood itself, stemming off a conversation about a mispronounced Italian word, Byron tells whether there are Italian or Irish strongholds still within the city. Then, Mayor Pete tells the benefits of visiting the shore town during the offseason, and tells of events that are taking place both this week and coming up. Then, Mayor Byron previews the next country music festival, which is already being planned for next year after a remarkable success last summer.
Then, Dom welcomes back legendary broadcaster and sportswriter Ray Didinger for another Eagles update, after the Philadelphia football team crushed a hobbled New York Giants team. First, Giordano and Didinger discuss the wind which Dom noticed live at the game, with Ray noting that it seemed to have an effect on a missed kick by Jake Elliot. Then, Giordano and Didinger talk about starting quarterback Jalen Hurts, who struggled in the first half then turned it around for a great second half, leading to the defeat of the Giants.
