Mark Carey and Chloe Morgan join Sophie Penney to break down the stats behind this season’s WSL surprises after Manchester City suffered a shock loss to Brighton.

Adam Crafton, Meg Linehan and Charlotte Harpur are with Sophie Penney to digest the big news that Emma Hayes is leaving Chelsea, likely for the U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT).
After 11 years at Chelsea, winning 13 major trophies, Hayes is primed to manage the four-time World Champions and four-time Olympic gold medallists. She replaces Vlatko Andonovski, who resigned after the Americans’ earliest ever World Cup exit.
How did the deal happen? How will this impact English football? Can Hayes fix the current issues with the USWNT?

Michael Cox, Laia Cervello Herrero and Sophie Penney bring you the inside story of Ballon d’Or winner Aitana Bonmati, from growing up in Catalonia to winning the World Cup and Champions League trophies and player of the tournament awards in the same year.
What’s Bonmati like as a person? What made her so good this year? And will she still lead Barcelona and Spain now that two-time Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putellas is back?
Plus Raphael Honigstein joins us to explain why Germany’s manager has been absent since their World Cup disaster, and what dentistry has to do with all of this.

Michael Cox and Charlotte Harpur are with Sophie Penney to figure out what needs to change in the Women's Champions League after last year's finalists Wolfsburg, semi-finalists Arsenal, Manchester United and Juventus all got knocked out in qualifying.
Should the competition be expanded? Is it better to develop smaller teams? Or should we have a new tournament all together?
Plus, Katie Whyatt and Chloe Morgan discuss whether the women's game in England needs salary caps to stop a gap opening up to the top WSL teams after comments from Crystal Palace co-owner and chairman.

Sophie Penney is with The Athletic's Laia Cervello Herrero and Jacob Whitehead to react to Jorge Vilda being named manager of the Morocco women’s team just over a month after being sacked by Spain in the fallout from the World Cup scandal.
Why did Morocco choose to hire a manager still under investigation? Is Vilda a good coach? And what impact will it have on the players?
Plus, The Athletic’s Caoimhe O’Neill joins us to figure out why Liverpool can’t win the Merseyside derby at Anfield after losing for the third time in a row.

Charlotte Harpur and Chloe Morgan are with Sophie Penney to react to Manchester City’s captain being sent off after just 38 minutes for taking ‘too long’ over a free kick.
After that moment the floodgates opened: 11 cards were handed out, the most of any WSL game. With two sendings off that’s now four red cards in two weekends, half of last season’s total.
Was Greenwood time wasting? Why are referees cracking down on this? And do the rules work for the specifics of the women’s game?

Michael Cox and Art de Roche are with Sophie Penney after Arsenal’s shock loss to Liverpool on the opening day of the WSL season in front of a record league crowd at the Emirates.
In a league where the winning side often only loses a maximum of two games in their whole campaign, and after Arsenal's early Champions League exit, we look at what the Gunners need to change to save their season.
Dermot Corrigan also joins us from Madrid for an update on the situation in Spain as the drama keeps unfolding after their World Cup win.

Michelle Owen is joined by Michael Cox, Charlotte Harpur, Mark Carey and Laia Cervelló Herrero to reflect on the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.
Well the final has been played and Spain have won.
Their 1-0 victory over the Lionesses sees La Roja go from entering the tournament with internal strife and acrimony, being humiliated 4-0 by Japan in the group stages; to winning the whole thing.
As for England; they fell at the final hurdle.
