Fun Times in Flushing

Trevor Bauer is heading to the Los Angeles Dodgers, but Albert Almora is coming to Queens! I tell you why missing out on Bauer might've been a positive.

I also explain why the Almora signing is a failure to really put the finishing touches on this team.

Just two weeks after the Jared Porter story broke on ESPN, The Athletic has broken a story about former New York Mets manager Mickey Callaway.

Callaway, the current pitching coach for the Los Angeles Angels, has been accused of inappropriate acts and sending inappropriate messages by multiple women in the sports industry. The accusations span across his time with the Cleveland Indians, the Mets, and the Angels.

In this episode, I give my immediate thoughts on the report in The Athletic. Plus, my thoughts on Brandon Nimmo and how he fits into this team for 2021, as well as this day in Mets history.

I have already celebrated the fact that the Mets have acquired Francisco Lindor, but now I take a step back and analyze what that truly means.

I'm talking Lindor's numbers, Carlos Carrasco's numbers, and also taking a look at another potential Mets target, Kris Bryant.

I also talk about Pete Alonso's 2020, and his outlook for 2021. Plus, this day in Mets history.

GUYS, IT HAPPENED!

FRANCISCO LINDOR IS THE SHORTSTOP FOR THE NEW YORK METS!

We've been waiting for the first big move by the Steve Cohen Mets, and it has finally happened. I give some analysis, but it's basically just a celebration. Analysis will come soon, but come join me in celebration. The Mets are World Series contenders.

With Christmas approaching, the New York Mets crossed some big ticket items off of their wishlist.

They added the catcher they needed, former White Sox and Tiger James McCann. They also brought in a GM to serve under Sandy Alderson. In that role, they opted for Jared Porter. Porter has served twice in front offices under Theo Epstein.

In this episode, I break down those key additions, and why they speak to the success this team surely has coming their way.

I also break down Seth Lugo's 2020 season, and take a look at this day in Mets history.

Robinson Cano has been suspended for the entire 2021 season, and that is...good news?

I go in-depth on how this news can have a positive effect on the New York Mets in 2021 and beyond.

Plus, I talk about Jeff McNeil, his tale of two seasons in 2020, and which you can expect to see at Citi Field in 2021.

Also, of course, this day in Mets history.

Steve Cohen and Sandy Alderson had their introductory press conference this past week and it was everything a New York Mets fan could've hoped for and more. Both men provided great answers to questions about how they hope to handle the team moving forward, leaving fans with plenty to be excited about.

There was one thing I found troubling though.

I also take a look at Jacob deGrom's 2020 season, and how things are looking for him going into 2021.

All that, plus, this day in Mets history.

Not only does Steve Cohen bring his checkbook to the New York Mets, which is unlike what we've seen before, but he also brings a social media presence.

The new Mets owner has been on social media recently interacting with fans and letting people know what they can expect when he takes the Zoom podium this coming week to address the media.

We also found out that Francisco Lindor will not be a Cleveland Indian on Opening Day in 2021. I take a look at what it might take to get him, and what gambles the Mets might be taking in doing so.

I also take a look at Michael Conforto's 2020 season, and how things are looking for him going into 2021.

All that, plus, this day in Mets history.
