Fusion Youth Service - 29.09.2024 - This morning, we explored some of the history behind the "wise men" who arrived in Jerusalem, seeking a king. We looked at the identity of the wise men - the Magi of Parthia. And we discussed the nature of worship, which very often requires sacrifice.

Fusion Youth Service - 22.09.2024 - This week, we look at Jesus' first trip to Jerusalem, as a 40 day old newborn baby. We discuss why Mary and Joseph took Jesus to Jerusalem - to fulfill God's Law. We also read about two people in the Temple that day who recognised Jesus as the promised Messiah and praised God for Him. We discuss some of the things that Simeon had to say about Jesus. We also talk about how important it is to listen to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to lead us personally.

Fusion Youth Service - 08.09.2024 - God didn't announce the arrival of the Messiah to the High Priest in Jerusalem. He didn't announce it to the king of Judea or the Caesar in Rome. He didn't even announce it to the mayor of Bethlehem. God chose to announce this crazy good news to a group of shepherds. Why? And how does Jesus bring peace to mankind? Those are the questions we focus on answering this week.

We discuss the hope that can be found in difficult circumstances - how God can use suffering to strength us and grow our character. And we examine Zechariah's prophecy of Jesus. He is the "horn of salvation", and the fulfilment of God's promises to David and Abraham.

Fusion Youth Service - 16.06.2024 - This week, Mary visits Elizabeth in the hills of Judah, and we look at the amazing things that they both say to one another. Elizabeth, as well as the little baby in her womb, is filled with God's Spirit and prophesies about Mary and her son. In response, Mary "magnifies" God, and says some equally spectacular things. We spend a while discussing what it means to "fear the Lord". We also explore what is, arguably, the greatest of virtues - humility. If you can only pick one virtue - one character trait - to build your life on, you won't go wrong by choosing humility.
