Life goes quickly and can pass us by without us making a difference or living our purpose. Terry Weaver, a well-known author and actor talks about living out his purpose through his writing and acting. Terry’s new television series, Breaking Strongholds, gives him the opportunity to expand his career and positively impact even more people through an entirely different medium. Terry Weaver is now living in what he calls his “sweet spot,” where everything is coming together.

Terry grew up in San Bernardino, a suburb of Los Angeles, California. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Military as a Navy Corpsman. He was deployed as a combat medic with the U.S. Marines and served a tour of duty in Kuwait and Iraq from 2002 to 2003. After five years of active duty, Terry received an honorable discharge.

He attended Mays Business School at Texas A&M and received the Pat Tillman Foundation Scholarship, established in the namesake of Army Ranger and NFL star player Pat Tillman, who was killed in action while serving his country. Terry earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2011 and completed his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies in 2020.

Terry spent over a decade in sales and marketing, and while doing so, he founded VEL INSTITUTE, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, that helps veterans advance in life through leadership and entrepreneurship training.

In 2019, Terry wrote and published The Evolution of A Leader, a book about the principles, habits, and mindsets of the greatest leaders of all time.

In early 2020, Terry wrote and published A Dark Day in Texas, an Eli Ridge novel. He also wrote and published his third book, All My Best: A Book of Wisdom and Encouragement for a Better Life, in late 2020. Whitewashed Tomb, Terry’s fourth book and second novel in the Eli Ridge series was published in the Fall of 2021.

Terry was selected as the lead actor in the forthcoming eight-episode television series, Breaking Strongholds, which is being filmed in Montgomery, Texas.

Jeff, along with his wife, CarrieRae founded a non-profit organization called FOB Rasor. The mission of FOB Rasor is to provide support to veterans and first responders who suffer from PTSD. After one year of operation, FOB Rasor serves over 60 veterans with a need that continues to grow.

Jeff and CarrieRae have plans to expand FOB Rasor so they can serve as many veterans and first responders as possible. Currently, on average, 22 veterans take their own life each day. They are driven and passionate about reducing this number.

Based on statistics provided by the International Labor Organization, there are about 4.5 million victims of commercial sex trafficking. In 2014, it was estimated that sex trafficking is a $99 billion per year business. According to the Institute on Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault, there are currently over 300,000 victims of human trafficking in Texas, with 79,000 of those being victims of sex trafficking. In this episode, Jeff discusses this difficult and sensitive topic with Dawn Candy. Ms. Candy has intimate knowledge of this problem that is so greatly impacting our society.
