Henderson has a long and successful track record in coaching, starting at the high school level and from there moving on to San Diego State, Cal State Fullerton, Riverside Community College, Chapman, Pepperdine, Florida, Oregon State, Kentucky, Mississippi State and now Utah. Henderson has had success at every stop along the way as an assistant and head coach. He was named the Collegiate Baseball National Assistant Coach of the Year in 1996, the Southeastern Conference Coach of the year in 2012 and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Coach of the Year in 2018.
