Join me for some relaxing moments in Hong Kong!

The video covers three days.

At first you see me preparing Ginataang Langka, unripe jackfruit cooked in coconut milk, for dinner.

The next day I made some fresh juice (a mix of watermelon and orange) and fried rice for breakfast to have enough energy for the day, hehe.

Then I was heading to the public swimming pool in the Victoria Park, where I swam one full hour. Beside my normal breaststroke, recently I am practicing freestyle as well!

Afterwards, I treated myself with a well-deserved snack from the market.

Then I went home and at home... I practiced some dance steps. I am not a dance expert but it was fun and I hope you enjoy it, hehe.

In the last part of the video you can see my breakfast from the following morning where I enjoyed a simple breakfast with cheese and eggs. Enjoy this glimpse into my daily life!

Hello Hive! How is everyone doing?

For today's share, I am excited to present a video of me making Adobong Manok! Before I also post more photographs from our birthday celebration (see my previous post), I wanted to share the entire preparation process from start to finish.

This video is all about the whole process, from making my version of Adobong Manok to the fun celebration afterwards.

And of course, my Adobo style is very easy and super yummy! Here is my simple recipe:

I use chicken drumsticks.

I marinate the chicken with vinegar, salt, and pepper overnight.

The next morning, I start cooking. In a pan, I add a little bit of oil, then sauté some garlic.

Next, I add the chicken to brown it.

Then, I pour in the marinade sauce, add a bit of sugar and soy sauce, and let it simmer until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is deliciously thick.

Hey Hive!

In my previous post I showed you already some photos of this adventure, and today I would like to share my new video with you all! It's more than 17 minutes long! So take so time, make a coffee, and enjoy watching, hehe!

At first I filmed the moments when I was going to the beach and spent some time there. As you can see before leaving I prepared some yummy food (chicken soup and bread) which I broguht to the beach. Later I just relaxed, played some chess and read a little bit in my new chess book. But I was also active, did some gym and swam in the cool water!

Then, in the afternoon, I was hiking in a very beautiful area of Hong Kong. I had a lot of stairs to climb but the beautiful nature, the wonderful view and the fresh air were worth the effort! And I also spotted a shimmering blue dragonfly!

Altogether to going to the beach and later hike was the perfect way to turn a boring day into an exciting one, giving myself the love I deserve, hehe!

Hello Hive friends!

In today's video, I was craving something but I didn't really know what to eat.

At first I ate a small bowl of congee, a savory porridge made by slow-cooking rice in a great deal of water until it becomes soft and thick.

After that I remembered I had some frozen bananas and blueberries, so I decided to make some really yummy banana blueberry bread, hehe!

But for me, as a real food lover that was not yet enough, hehe: I felt I would like to eat something sour as well, so I ended up making Beef Sinigang, a sour soup native to the Philippines!

Hi Hive!

In this video, you are seeing me to go to the market first and then making fresh water melon juice for my employer (the celery and the apples were reserved for the coming days) . He loves to drink fresh juice when he is here in Hong Kong. Maybe in the USA, his other place of residence, there are no fresh fruits, or they are more expensive than in Hong Kong? Hehe... just kidding!

Yeah, he really loves juice for his diet. He is only 46 years old yet and very conscious about his health: I never saw him smoking and - opposite to me - he also doesn't eat meat. Well, it's good to be so disciplined.

I also kept a little part of the juice for myself... And take note: the watermelon was very sweet, hehe!

In the end of the video I am cleaning some vegetables, Alugbati (also called Malabar spinach).

Hello Hive friends! Can you believe it? Over the last few months, a friend sent me two gift packages via Amazon! I don't know if I deserved it or not, but it made me incredibly happy and speechless nonetheless!

The first package contained mostly things to support me in building my new YouTube channel: a portable microphone and a tripod! But there was also a magnetic chessboard (since I really enjoy the game, even though I am still very much a beginner) and some sportswear.

Hi, folks! In today's video, you will once again see different moments from one of my long days in Hong Kong (this time without the daily cleaning, vacuuming, ironing, and bed-making!).

First, I play chess with my employer’s son. Yes, lately I have been learning a bit of chess, and I am really enjoying it, even though I am still a beginner and make plenty of mistakes. But I have been told that I was learning rather fast, hehe!

After that — who is surprised now? — I prepare food for the kids again! This time, I tried making honey-glazed chicken with corn. Alongside that, there were also meatballs. Hmm... the kids liked it, at least! Just look at them eating!

Life as a domestic helper isn't always easy, but it brings me great joy to take care of the kids and play with them.

At the end of the day, I took the kids to the Ryze trampoline park, where my little charges enthusiastically threw themselves from above into a sea of foam cubes.

After this short break, it's back to work: ironing (for some reason, I always struggle with this... it's sooo exhausting) and then more clothes folding. Of course, I also washed the dishes and vacuum, that goes without saying, hehe.

Hello Hive family! Thank you for always being here and supporting me!

In today's vlog, I am walking around Hong Kong because I felt bored and really needed some fresh air after working all the day!

At first I strolled through Times Square - an upscale shopping destination and office skyscraper complex located in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.

I didn't miss the opportunity to grab some fish balls (魚蛋) which are a typical Hong Kong street food, enjoyed either plain or smothered in rich curry sauce. They are widely available in local markets and supermarkets, and often also a favorite addition to hot pot dishes.

But as a real food lover I was still hungry... and therefore I used a FREE pizza voucher provided by a good friend! 🍕 (If you want to learn more about my story of these Bitrefill pizza vouchers, just read here!)

Then I headed home, ate my yummy take away pizza (and yes, I admit - as you can see in the video anyway, hehe - I couldn't resist from buying cola... again!), and finally packed my prepared snacks for selling them to my customers the next day!

Hello Hive friends! Today I would like to show you my way of preparing Puto Cheese!

One of the most popular Filipino snacks, Puto Cheese, is a soft, fluffy steamed rice cake topped with melted cheese. Here are the ingredients I use in my version. Enjoy watching — and thank you so much for your support!

INGREDIENTS:

- 2 cups cake flour

- 1 cup bread flour

- 1 cup white sugar

- ¼ cup vegetable oil

- 3 tsp baking powder

- 3 tsp baking soda

- ½ can (approx. ¾ cup) Carnation evaporated milk

(Plus cheese slices for topping!)

The preparation process is shown in detail in my video!

Sometimes I also make Puto Cheese with violet or green color. Then I use ube and pandan flavor to color the snacks.
