Spoiler: Jameson unleashes a furious rant on turkey, cementing his disgust of poultry. Sports, trophies, and boobs: finally, a perfect film for Jameson. This week Heather rectifies the cruel miseducation of Jameson with Caddyshack (1980). Heather recalls her teen years working as a country club lifeguard and dealing with happy crappers, Jameson expresses his love for dad humor and all things Rodney Dangerfield. Our Gen X-perts agree Caddyshack is one of the funniest films of all time and confer Jameson’s highest rating of five gophers and four titties.

San Dimas high school football rules! Hang out with Heather, Jameson, and So-Crates as they discuss Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989) and the highly anticipated 2020 sequel Bill & Ted Face the Music. Heather realizes the original film does not hold up well as she is no longer 13 years old, Jameson thought they were watching Biodome and referred to the sequel as a $15 nap. Both agree Keanu Reaves is the man. Jameson is deeply bothered by Daniel’s legs to torso ratio and worries he’s the Slender Man. Heather doesn’t love Karate Kid this time around, thinking Daniel is a little bitch who steals girlfriends and runs amok provoking everyone. Heather and Jameson can agree they are now Team Johnny after Cobra Kai. Remember, leave your asthma and your peanut allergies and all your other bullshit outside of this dojo.

Happy Halloween, Gen Xers! Heather and Jameson explore the wonderful world of Stephen King with The Shining (1980) and sequel Dr Sleep (2019). Jameson may or may not be stroking out this week as he expresses his distaste for the “illogical” horror genre as he only likes films in which people win a goddamn trophy. Heather gives both The Shining and Dr Sleep all the stars, two thumbs up. Three thumbs up for Ewan McGregor. Check that Reese's Peanut Butter Cup for razor blades, kids. 

Nothing soothes your post-cold-War Gen X soul like a film about a bunch of high school kids charged with saving us all from World War III. Join Heather and Jameson as they talk about Red Dawn, both the 1984 original and 2012 reboot. Heather reminisces plotting her escape from Russian attacks at Deer Run elementary school in her sleepy New England hometown, while Jameson realizes Nigel isn’t starring in The Walking Dead, but Nigel can do your taxes.
