Gerard McDermott is an international barrister, working extensively in the USA and specialises in the most complex personal injury cases. Amongst his most high profile cases Gerard was Lead Counsel for the Health Authority in the Shipman Inquiry and is presently instructed to jointly lead the claims for compensation for over 800 victims of the Grenfell Tower Tragedy.
As well as sharing memories of some of the cases he’s worked on, Gerard is passionate about supporting and developing the legal profession and outlines his thoughts how the bar can, and should, change into the future.
