This short meditation piggy backs nicely with our last episode on Somatic Awareness (S2, E13). This is a guided practice that can be done anytime, anywhere. It is a great tool for getting out of the head ("fight or flight"/sympathetic) and into the body ("rest and digest"/parasympathetic).

Movement is a channel for transformation. I even made a film about it! (Check out @inthisbody_film on IG) We often hear "movement" and think we have to do some big, exhausting practice when in reality we can activate our own somatic awareness by simply breathing with intention. Our body is filled with stories and movement is a way for us to express them, the emotions that they carry and balance our energetic body.

Tune in on Thursday May 7th at 3pm on @getahelmet_'s IG for a LIVE chat on this topic.
On this solo episode, I touch on how + why I began my practices and the tips I have for making them a part of your life. Just like brushing your teeth. I share with you the biggest mistakes I made, to save you from making the same ones, and chat about how to develop lasting practices that nourish your Soul and finally allow you to break free from anxiety.
My anxiety and extremely low self worth dictated so much of my life in my earlier years. During quarantine, we all feel a bit triggered and hear some old internal voices rearing their ugly heads. If you've been feeling anxious during this time but constantly feel paralyzed by all of the information out there telling you how to soothe yourself, START HERE. I constantly see people making the same mistake when they kick off their healing journey. On this episode, I share what that mistake is and where to begin to find relief.
Today's episode is brought to you by the fact that I have forgotten what day it is and that my clothes don't fit me. Also, that snuggling my mom's cats is saving my life? Quarantine life -- its real, its up, its down. I talk all about how this isolated time may have some old habits, stories and patterns flaring for you. It sure does for me! I touch on body image, self love and how striking a balance is meeting yourself between a place of gentleness and showing up for yourself.
Here is a recording from a guided meditation I led on Trust and Surrender to help us navigate the uncharted waters of our current world. You can enjoy this practice at any time during the day or night. I highly recommend using your headphones and cozying up in a quiet, private space. Make it sacred. Sending you so many virtual hugs and lots of deep breaths!
My dear sister Hannah Aylward is back on the pod today to discuss how our gut health and our energetic bodies are correlated. We kick things off with a juicy energy balancing meditation. Prepare to go DEEP with us on this episode. If you are needing a little inspiration, laughter and "light and the end of the tunnel" vibe right now then this is for you!

I have been obsessed with 305 Fitness since I stepped foot into my first class. Prior to finding it, I had been doing dance cardio alone in my living room in Boston. Sadie Kurzban is the founder of 305 fitness and creator of the body love movement behind it. It has been such a pleasure to watch this company grow over the years and to watch all of the hearts it has inspired along the way. Sadie and I chat all about starting the company and persevering as a woman in business.
