Hated The Narrator
I love this series, but hated that he went with a male narrator for Jack. The previous narrators who have narrated the whole series until this point were the true voices of Jack, Herb & Harry that we've all come to love over the years. What a way to ruin a great audiblle series. I quit listening and just read the book, because it wasn't Jack
Narrator cannot pass as a woman!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Bob Walkenhorst?
The original narrator (Susie Breck) or someone who can carry a woman's voice. Absolutely no attempt to imitate a woman"s voice.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Extremely upset, as I finally get to hear the last of the series & can't, especially when there are comments specific to a woman yet cannot get past hearing a man trying to be feminine.

Very sad to not be able to finish the series! Shame on the team who chose a male narrator!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had my hopes up
I was so excited to see a new Jack Daniels book! First just let me say Bob is a very good narrator but when you have a series of books read by the same narrators, changing narrators threw me off. I kept getting lost between who was talking, Fin or Jack. I also didn't get those creepy cringing belly laughing reactions that I got from the last eight books, not sure if it was due to to the change of narrators, the authors writing or a combination of the two.
Great Detective Series 9th book in series
I am still enjoying this series and look forward to the next book even as I am finishing the current book. I am enjoying this author he is a great horror and detective series books. These are funny, action packed, fast paced, and they do have a lot of violence although that doesn't bother me. They center around Jack a female detective and her partner, ex-partner, family, friends, and past/current criminals she is pursuing or has put in jail in past. I have listened to all these using audible and have not been disappointed. I was surprised they changed the narrator on this book but he did a good job also.
