After her promotion from law firm Runner to Investigator, Kathleen Turner is learning the ropes of her new job from none other than assassin-for-hire Kade Dennon, a situation her boyfriend, Blane Kirk, is none too happy about. But the lessons with Kathleen take a back seat when Kade becomes a target. Previously untouchable, his enemies now know of the chink in his armor - his brothers girlfriend.
And Kades not the only thing coming between Kathleen and Blane. From Blanes inexplicable defense of a man guilty of a horrible crime, to a mysterious stranger from Kathleens past, to Kathleens risky investigation into human traffickers, the obstacles mount against a relationship thats just begun to find trust again. While Blane considers a job offer that would take him back to the front lines in the war on terror, Kathleen is determined to pursue her new career, with or without his approval. Unfortunately, her current case is far more dangerous than anyone knows. Someone close to Blane will go to extreme lengths to split them up, lengths that may prove worse than death for Kathleen. Kathleen, Blane and Kade must atone for the sins of the past and the present. The fallout will force Kathleen to a turning point...in her career, and her life.
Members Reviews:
Another great one!
Another great book in the Kathleen Turner series. I rarely feel compelled to read/listen to all the books in a series, one after the other. But that's not the case here. I'm hooked!
Horrid narration of lackluster novel.
I find Angela Dawe's voice irritating like fingernails on a chalk board.
Audible classifies Turning Point as a modern detective novel. It is actually a contemporary romance novel.
Good story bad narration
Would you consider the audio edition of Turning Point to be better than the print version?
No
What did you like best about this story?
Kade.
How could the performance have been better?
It was almost impossible to hear the audio when she was acting one of the brothers
Her voice got more and more annoying the more I listened. She only has 2 tones
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I wanted to read it all but I didn't want to listen to the audio too much because it was either hard to hear or very annoying
Liked except........
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I'd recommend
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Not on the edge of my seat
What about Angela Dawes performance did you like?
I like her reading, her expressions, connotations. The brothers are hard to hear, of course it only loaded the audio to page 8. That's the 2nd time that's happened. Then, I can't hear any of it. VERY IRKED

not sure
well written, good story line and performance, but not for me. I just don't like two brothers fighting for same girl. thought this was last in series but was wrong. not going to read the rest
