Episode 25:6 Health And Healing By The Book (Bible)
Why are Christians so sick?
That is, why are people who believe in Jesus just as sick as those who don't?
And, why don't we see miraculous healings today… healings similar to the ones Jesus and His disciples performed two thousand years ago?
These are questions I've pondered for over forty years.
Questions I believe I have answers to. Answers that need to be shared with other Believers.
On this week's episode I begin a discussion regarding these answers.
Specifically, I share:
A Philosophy… A Principle… and A Promise
EACH based upon the Word of God.
EACH aimed at helping you experience better health and healing.
If you have any interest in learning a Biblical perspective for health and healing, give this episode a good listen.
And, as always please share it with a friend.
Thanks!

Episode 25:5 What To Do When "Dietary Changes and Supplements" Aren't Helping You Heal
More and more people are turning to natural approaches to healing.
That's great!
However, what's not so great is that most of these individuals are only considering ONE natural approach:
Nutrition.
That is, when most Americans turn to natural medicine, the ONLY "Tool" they consider is nutrition… specifically dietary changes and supplements.
Again, that's great!
Unfortunately, dietary changes and supplements are NOT always the answer.
Some health issues require additional Tools.
Tools that aren't related to nutrition.
On this episode I discuss nine other Tools a person should consider when seeking to heal their body naturally.
Nine Tools that, any of which, can be THE answer you need in your healing journey.
Be sure to give this episode a good listen and then share it with a friend.
Thanks!

Episode 25:4 Natural Approaches For Healing Your Body of GERD, SIBO and IBS
Millions of Americans deal with digestive disturbances… from gas and bloating to full blown conditions such as GERD, SIBO and IBS.
When seeking help, most of these individuals are told by their doctors to "take" something.
Either something "over the counter" or a prescription drug such as an antibiotic, an antispasmodic, an antacid, or an anti-inflammatory (steroid).
And while these drugs may help a person feel better, they do nothing to correct the CAUSE of the digestive problem.
Nothing to help the person experience healing from their condition.
There has to be a better way.
An approach to digestive disorders that actually helps people heal.
A natural approach that doesn't destroy the "good" bacteria of one's gut.
Fortunately, there is.
And on this episode I talk about it.
A natural approach for helping individuals heal their body of digestive disorders such as GERD, SIBO and IBS.
Be sure to give this episode a good listen and then share it with a friend.
Thanks!

Episode 25:2 The Two Questions You MUST Ask Your Doctor
In order to get the most out of your visit to a doctor you have to be prepared.
You have to know what you want… what you expect.
Without this preparation, there's a good chance you'll leave the doctor's office confused.
Unhappy that he/she didn't provide you with the answers you were looking for.
The solutions that you need.
It doesn't have to be this way.
Visits to the doctor CAN be productive.
CAN help you attain the healing you seek.
But, again, you have to be prepared.
You have to know what to ask… and why.
On this episode I share with you what you need to know BEFORE visiting a doctor.
What your mindset should be… and what his/her mindset should be as well!
More importantly, I share the two questions you MUST ask.
Questions that will set you on the path to TRUE healing.
Give this episode a good listen as it will help both you and your doctor.
In addition, please be sure to share it with a friend.
Thanks!

Episode 25:1 How You Can Heal Your Body Naturally … In 2025
If you are suffering with any type of sickness or disease, I want 2025 to be the year that you are completely healed.
I say that because I believe it's possible.
That is, I believe that God designed your body with an innate ability to heal itself.
Naturally, without drugs or surgery.
The question is "How?"
HOW do you get your body to heal itself?
On this episode I answer that question.
Specifically, I share that the KEY to getting your body to heal itself is simple:
Provide it with an environment that is conducive for healing.
Or, stated another way…
"Given the right environment, your body will heal itself."
This leads to another question:
HOW do you provide your body with the right environment... an environment that is conducive for healing?
Once again, I have you covered by sharing with you, on this episode, TEN "Tools" that will help you create such an environment.
Give this episode a good listen and be sure to pay special attention to the Ten Tools as they are truly the KEY to getting your body to heal itself.
In addition, please share this episode with a friend.
Thanks!

Episode 24:52 Ten Takeaways From 2024… And One (Bold) Prediction For 2025
Happy Holidays!
As another year comes to an end, I thought it would be wise to step back and reflect on some of what we've learned these past twelve months.
To accomplish that task, I reviewed every podcast episode from the past year and picked out the ten most popular ones.
Episodes that were downloaded the most.
Episodes that generated the most questions.
Episodes that listeners thought were the most beneficial.
On this episode I share the highlights of those episodes.
Ten solid pieces of health advice I know you'll find beneficial.
In addition, I share one bold prediction I have for the new year.
Something you'll want to be aware of if you desire to optimize your health.
Please give this episode a good listen and then share it with a friend.
Thanks!

Episode 24:51 FIVE Questions You Need To Know The Answers To
People have questions… and I have answers!
Over the past few weeks I've been asked some really good questions… questions that I feel everyone would benefit from knowing the answers to.
Why?
Because knowing the answers to these questions will not only make you smarter… they'll make you healthier.
So, what are the five questions?
I thought you'd never ask 😂
1) Is it true that eating the same amount of food… in a shorter period of time (Intermittent Fasting)… will promote weight loss?
2) Is Intermittent Fasting as beneficial as Prolonged (several days) Fasting?
3) What is "The Department Store" analogy?
4) Does a Leaky Gut cause food sensitivities or do food sensitivities cause a Leaky Gut?
5) Can repairing a Leaky Gut really improve a stroke victim's recovery?
Like I said above, get these answers right and you'll not only be smarter… you'll be healthier!
For that reason, be sure to give this episode a good listen and then share it with a friend.
Thanks!

Episode 24:50 The Amazing Health Benefits Of Intermittent Fasting
Intermittent Fasting may be the most underutilized and underappreciated "tool" available for anyone looking to improve their health and/or heal from disease.
Why do I say that?
Because Intermittent Fasting has the potential to help you:
1) Lose weight
2) Repair a Leaky Gut
3) Reduce Insulin Resistance
Read that again:
Intermittent Fasting can help you lose weight, repair a Leaky Gut, and reduce insulin resistance.
That's amazing!
Why?
Because those physiological functions represent the ROOT CAUSES of most chronic diseases.
For that reason alone Intermittent Fasting should be heavily promoted.
Unfortunately, it's not. Very few people know, or understand, the benefits of Intermittent Fasting.
But that's about to change… starting today!
On this week's episode of the Get Healthy Alabama podcast (now available!), I discuss the benefits of Intermittent Fasting with an emphasis placed on the role it plays in repairing a Leaky Gut... and the role a Leaky Gut plays in the development of AutoImmune Disease.
Be sure to give this episode a good listen and then share it with a friend.
Thanks!

Episode 24:49 Is It Possible To Lose Weight During The Holidays? (The Answer Is "Yes")
I do NOT encourage my patients to try to lose weight during the holidays.
Instead, I encourage them to try to avoid GAINING weight by making healthy choices MOST of the time.
However, occasionally I'll have a patient who insists on trying to lose weight during the holidays.
A patient like Jason who, a few years ago, followed a "no carb" diet from mid-November through December and dropped 25 pounds.
Unfortunately, that's NOT a diet I can recommend to people… at least not at this time of the year.
However, what I CAN recommend is a strategy I shared with a patient named Cathy.
A strategy that helped her LOSE 10 pounds during the holidays… WITHOUT giving up carbs.
On this week's episode I talk about the strategy I shared with Cathy.
A strategy YOU can employ during the holidays, or anytime during the year, to help improve your health AND lose weight (if necessary).
Be sure to give this episode a good listen and then share it with a friend.
Thanks!
