The NFL season is in the books. A new champion was crowned last night as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers took home the Lombardi Trophy. Tom Brady has won his 7th ring and I think he is hungry for more. I react to all the action from Super Bowl Sunday as we say goodbye to another football season and are already counting down the days until Week 1.

Dave Carson Jr is lifelong contributor to Kare Youth League. He has helped the program grow in many ways including its expansion to Upland, CA over 10 years ago. Dave is the Pastor of the Upland Kare Youthchurch and is someone who loves sharing the word of God with children. You can usually find him preparing a ball field or working outdoors to continue the growth of KYL. We chat about his family, RHP football, teaching kids to play the harmonica, and story telling.

Bill Barnes joins me once again on the Weekly Wednesday Weigh-In. He rambles about vaccine distribution, the Rams/Lions trade, and gutless politicians. Bill also makes his Super Bowl prediction and is very fired up after a passionate speech from a father in Virginia.

My brother Sam Heersema is back with me after a month hiatus. We chat about the huge NFL trade between the Lions and Rams. We also discuss why podcasts are a quality escape and each of us makes our official Super Bowl predictions. The Suds With Studs segment makes its first Monday appearance as well.

Chris Horton is the Senior Pastor at Kare Youthchurch and President of Kare Youth League. He was also my baseball coach and literature teacher back in high school. We have a lot of fun memories to chat about and also discuss the great ministry that is Kare Youth League. Additionally, there will be some Rio Hondo Prep sports talk and discusssion about the special connection with First Mount Zion Baptist Church in Dumfries, Virginia.

Bill Barnes and I start the show off talking about the late great Hank Aaron. We then dive into the Netflix documentary titled "Nightstalker." We discuss the serial killer case from 1985 and what it was like back then. Having personally met the detectives involved, Bill takes us through not only that case but also into his experience as a detective himself. We wrap up the show with brief comments about the upcoming Super Bowl.

Reactions from everything that went down in the AFC and NFC Championship games on Sunday. The Super Bowl is set! It will feature the defending champs against a team led by someone who is playing in his tenth. I also give my thoughts on the McGregor/Poirier fight from Saturday night.

Vic Winnek is an attorney as well as a college football official. He shares his officiating journey with me and reflects on other moments from life. Vic and I were original members of the crew at Fox Studios that assisted Mike Pereira. Vic loves football and talks about it with great passion. He is currently doing some work in Instant Replay Operations. Vic will also share some similarities to the rules of football and the rule of law.

Bill Barnes chats with us about the Presidential Insulting and transition of power. I open the show with my thoughts on cars waiting at red lights. Bill and I also discuss the NFL Playoffs, Super Bowl assignments for Officials, and previous elections. It's not quite Wednesday without Bill Barnes.

I am solo once again this Monday as I react to the playoff games from the NFL over the weekend. Topics include running the ball in January, credit where credit is due, and why injuries to running quarterbacks are no surprise. I also ramble about automatic bathrooms, lack of success with lockdowns, and fixing things that aren't broken.
