Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this audio book to a friend. This is a super short listen, with a powerful punch. Matt and Perry had a second chance that not everyone gets and they take advantage of that chance.

What did you like best about this story?

What I liked about the story is that it teaches you the power behind the love of a child and how everyone deals with that grief differently. Some cry and some throw things, and sometimes it breaks a marriage apart. Some couples would let it make them grow closer and I think that is what Matt and Perry finally realized.

Which scene was your favorite?

My absolute favorite scene was when they took Michelle out in the boat. Such a special bonding moment, even if she couldn't yet understand. One day she will, and it will be very special to her.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, as mentioned above. When they take Michelle to the lake house and out on the boat it was very touching to me. I don't want to mention why I felt that way, I don't want to give things away. When you listen to this you will understand.

Any additional comments?

I am so glad Matt and Perry found each other again. The way it happens, just a sign of fate. There are people out there that are just meant to be...sweet love remembered.

An Amazingly Moving Short

It takes real talent to condense the kind of extreme emotion that Joachim has infused into this short novella, but she did it with flair. I'm not usually a fan of novellas or short stories, but this one blew me away.

This is a collection of varied short stories. All are romances, some are erotic & some not. A few are F/F. Setting is varied: scifi, fantasy, contemporary. Quality varies from 1 to 4 star. Formatting is terrible, so you have to go page by page to skip a story you do not like.

Short story collection

Terrible! I only read the first story, it ended so abruptly it did not even have a conclusion. I figured the rest would end similar so I didn't bother reading them as I was very disappointed in the first.

Awful none sense

Crazy built in links to hidden books, tears up the reading. The story is like a basic 12yr old written story, waiting for the author to grow up. Don't waste your time, it's the hardest book to read and follow.

Not what I thought it would be at all...

Weird with the whole stepbrother thing but to know that they didnât know each other at all until the parents married made it a bit better. Short read but hot, not sure what was the point of the gang stuff in the beginning seeing it was the only issue but I guess something was needed to hold your attention.

A very naughty novel with many memorable moments.

One of the best written eroticas I've read

This is one of my favorite read of the year. It met all the requirements I need for a great story. It had romance, it had a great story, it had character development and it ended happily. I am truly satisfied!

We met the heroine, Siobhan âSugarâ Malloy in book 1 of the Sugar and Spice series. The 35 yr old was best friends with Nadia Spice and co-owner of their café. We knew Siobhan had some struggles in her life, but in this book Siobhanâs story was laid bare.

Siobhanâs life was finally stable and somewhat drama free when Charlie OâHalloran came into her café to deliver a package. Charlie was the owner of Crimson Bay Couriers and he saw a way that Siobhan could improve the visibility of the café. He also had selfish motivates for offering his services. He had been mesmerized by Siobhan and couldnât figure out how to get her attention. When Charlie made his move he found a willing but cautious woman. They embarked on a casual affair but as things got serious, both Charlie and Siobhan had to come clean about some considerable baggage from their past. Was their new affection strong enough to shoulder the weight?

What I absolutely love about this story and this series is just how the author balances a heavy storyline with really steamy sex scenes. At first glance, one would think this novel is just a simple erotica. However, it has a complex plot with multidimensional characters and a continued theme about never giving up. It was an emotional read at times and elicited some chuckles at others. I am not going to lie, I did have to fan myself at certain scenes, but they were tastefully done.

I was so impressed with both Charlie and Siobhan because life had dealt them a rough hand, but they met their challenges with dignity and strength. Both characters had little support until the later part in their lives but they managed to overcome huge hurdles to arrive at their current place of hopefulness. I enjoyed how Charlieâs family fought for his happiness as well as his capacity of love. He was my favorite character in this book and I just adored him. I also loved Siobhanâs girlfriends because they were more like a family unit.

The title of this book couldnât be more appropriate. I felt it! After By a Thread, the first book in this series, I immediately had to grab and devour Tension. Let me tell you, Tension is exactly what I got. It struck me in the gut. I could not relax. The tension in this book was almost a character itself. Stellaâs story continues and picks up right where By a Thread left off. The story is consistent in the wild ride this series is taking me on. Author RL Griffin has the gift to make me feel the story. Her writing is more than the words on the page and the story being told, it is what was felt between the words. The anxiety, the nervousness, itâs all there! Tension was unpredictable and fantastic. I really enjoyed that the story is not typical amongst the indie published world. So far the By a Thread series is fast becoming a favorite with many top qualities. RL Griffin tells a story in Tension. Period. The characters pull you into their lives and you feel the story played out more than just read the words. I couldnât put this book down. It is not all feel-good, fluffy love and warm fuzzy feelings. This book solicited a deeper feeling and reaction from me. Give this book a try and get ready to feel it. 4.5 Stars

LOVE THIS BOOK!!!

I LOVE THIS BOOK!! Let me start off by saying that I have never taken the time to write a review for a book before, even though I only buy books with great reviews. Because of this, I felt that it was imperative that I give this book the stellar review that it deserves so that everyone is aware of just how awesome this book (and author) is.

In the second installment of the "By a Thread" series, RL Griffin has managed to make me fall even more in love with all of her characters...if that is even possible. Granted, I am often a sap and love the "cheesy" love stories, but this book has SO MUCH MORE! Griffin's details and superb writing make it so that all of the characters (even trivial, game-loving Billy) seem as if they are shining stars instead of lowly backup characters in the story.

Words can't describe how much I have truly enjoyed this series, including Dale and Justin's story. It is so endearing. I truly enjoyed being a part of the journey with these characters. It was spunky, intense at moments, sweet, and downright funny. I am contemplating starting from the beginning and reread the entire series! Yes, I love it all that much!!!

The big catch

Another great book by Helen Gray. Baseball, airplanes, and giving of time and talents to help others. Dale is the only female on the summer league baseball team sponsored by her brother's company. When the boss finds out, he isn't happy at first, but quickly comes around.

Truly a great series.

I can not tell you how much I have enjoyed this series and could hardly put it down. Thank you so much for writing it. I will be looking forward to more of your work

Amazing

I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read the ...

I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read the next one in this series. Atreus and Carla has a rough time in this book. Nickolas is being a bad guy and I don't like him being that way. I recommend this book and the others I have read in this series to anyone who loves a good romance.

Gaah.

The ups and downs of a serial story. Just as you get to an up, it ends and you have to wait for the next installment. Have I said how I hate serials? Next, please.

STORY BRIEF:

Amy has loved Quinn since she was 14. She is now 30. She never showed her feelings. He has never known her feelings. He dated another, married, and is now in process of divorce. His wife cheated on him. Amy needs legal help and calls Quinn's wife, but Quinn answers the phone. He gives her advice and then shows up to help her at a public hearing. Amy doesn't know Quinn is getting a divorce. She wants to avoid being with him because unrequited love is painful.

REVIEWER'S OPINION:

I wanted something meatier. The set up was ok, but too much vague communication going on. They each feel attraction but they don't let the other know. Then after she makes a move, he tells her it was a mistake. This happens twice. His thinking is he desires her, but he has nothing to offer her. They work in different cities, and his divorce isn't final. He won't have sex with someone because of those reasons? One of the rules of writing is to have characters act in accordance with their motivations and aims. He is not doing that. The author wants them apart. This was no fun.

I was further annoyed that three times the couple began hot and heavy kissing that would have led to sex, when Amy's mother arrives saying hello, anyone there? Again this was the author wanting them apart and couldn't figure out how to have the couple do it, so she had the mother do it. Three times?

Lisa comes to town and wants to help with the rehab. Amy should have said no. Quinn should have said something. Lisa and Quinn were in the middle of an unfriendly divorce. Allowing Lisa to join them and spend time with them was too soap opera-ish for me.

A secondary story that was interesting was Amy purchasing and renovating an old theater. She had conflicts with local politicians and an unscrupulous real estate developer who wanted the theater. That was the better part of the book.
