I have read and enjoyed all the books in this series. Ryan and Chrissy have the most. explosive connection of all the couples in the series. Ryan is the most attractive male character to me. He knows how to romance a woman. I would like to hear more about all the couples in this series. Also I would like to read a book focusing on Jani.

just happened? Chrissy has been injured, and may not recover. She has to do weight training with a hot hockey player from a Boston University, one her brother Jason doesn't approve of. Will they manage to work it out before he heads back to Boston? There is a lot of background on Chrissy, Jason, and Ryan in this edition. Each book continues from the last, making a smooth flow from one to the next. I am throughly enjoying all of them!

Chrissy is injured & has to set out a season. She meets Ryan who's also injured. Can they heal each other more ways than one?

This Was a Good RomanceThat Went By Too Fast

"Once Again" was a good short story but I would have liked it to be a bit longer. It was easier to understand where the author was coming from after looking at the blurb from book one and seeing that her stories are about second chances or new beginnings which I like.

I think the stories and characters are good only needing a little more meat. If wanted, these are perhaps buildable characters for the future as well. I liked the characters of Evie and Grady and the fact that that this was a CLEAN romance.

Michelle Blenker's narration was pretty nice. She has a nice voice. The one thing I felt was that she read to fast. I had to look twice to see if it was somehow set on 1.25 or more because I listen at regular speed. Otherwise, her performance was good.

Lovely short story

--I was given a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This is my second Kristi Rose book, and again, she brought a wonderful short love story to my ears. The Coming Home series is heartwarming. From the beginning of this story when Evie runs into Grady, you cannot help but root for the two of them to get back together. From their past to their present, they are able to confront the issues and overcome.

Michelle Blenker performs this short well, though at times, she reads very quickly. Enjoyed her voices.

Family and Love

Retreat to Love begins with Ashlyn May attending a FireWind Artist Retreat. She knew that by attending the FireWind Artist Retreat, she would be able to develop her skills as a quilter and that she would be taken seriously as an artist.

Ashlyn didn't expect to run into her brother's friend, Caleb Kendall who is photographer. She and Caleb started on a bad foot of invading each other artistic space. Ashlyn wasn't planning on having a romantic tryst during the retreat since her retreat friend was interest in Caleb.

As she and Caleb are paired to prepare meals for the group, they became friends and avoided the dramas that were going on at the retreat. During retreat Ashlyn discovered a family secret that could either rip her family apart. Ashlyn now have to decide whether to share the secret with her family or to keep it to herself.

Ashlyn also have to make a choice about her relationship with Caleb. She has to decide whether she should take a chance on her future with Caleb or to go her separate way.

Retreat to Love is a friends to lovers story. Each character is described so detailed that the readers/listeners would feel that they know the characters themselves. The readers/listeners could identify themselves with Ashlyn's ordeal to reveal her family past and know that secret could tear her family apart especially when Ashlyn's family are so close to each other.

The narrator, Amy Rubinate does a wonderful job with all the voices for the characters in the story. It would have been easier if there were a handful of characters. Her performance to provide a different voice for several characters is quite good.

Sweet story of love

I really liked this story about love and friendship. It was very well written and kept me wanting to listen. Of course Amy Rubinate did a wonderful job narrating this book as she always does.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

At 8 and 1/2 hours long, this would be tough to listen to all at one time. I would recommend this as a 'long weekend' listen or if you were going on a trip and wanted something to listen to in the car, airplane or train.

Retreat to Love is a very well written book. Ms. Greene creates a world where artists can be themselves.

Fun contemporary romance

Yes, for fans of contemporary romance. It was a fun story to listen to while driving, especially since it centers on a group of women and features international settings (and food).

What was one of the most memorable moments of English Ivy?

The dates and banter between the couple at the beginning were my favorite part.

I've listened to Betsy Talbot's romance podcast and enjoyed her voice, which is one of the reasons I'd been looking forward to listening to this. Her style is clear, fun, and well-paced.

It made me laugh, especially during the first half!

Very good with some twist.

Once again author Mary J. WIlliams writing made it hard to put this one down. A nice romance story of past love that never dies and how sometimes something good can come out of a hard upbringing. Tyler and Drewâs story is well done and you really hope they get it together. I hated to put the book down (Kindle), and Drew's mother is what all the nasty mother in-law jokes comes from.. If you have been reading the series you will want to add this one and if you haven't started you should. Each book is a stand alone but it's nice to read them in order to meet everyone as they move into town.

Excellent, Harper Falls Book 3

A wonderful book. Suspenseful, romantic and fun. This Series of books is a favorite. Mary J. Williams is an excellent story teller.. look forward to reading on. Thank you for your writing, and story telling skills.

Revenge is sweet

Tyler and Drew's story is amazing, falling in love as teenagers then being torn apart because of a Bitch, and then being able to get back together after 10 years is revenge on the Bitch.

3rd book of Harper Falls Trilogy

A sweet romance novel that completes the Harper Falls trilogy. Nice way to complete the characters stories.

If You Only Knew is Book Three in the Harper Falls series. Mary J. Williams is a new author and each book I read is better than the last. This is Drew and Tyler's story and what a story it is.

Rich boy meets girl from wrong side of the tracks. Rich boys mother does her all to keep them apart. Ten years later Drew and Tyler cross paths again. They both have the same circle of friends and try to tell themselves they are still angry over the past.

FIne story of forgiveness

I thought for sure I was going to dislike Scars of Betrayal and yet I find myself recommending this novel. This is due to the very good characterization of the hero right from the start and the end of this novel moves at a smoother pace.

In London Cassandra has moved through the ton as a widow who is a bit mysterious and a bit shunned. She is a helping angel to prostitutes, finding them better positions and even rescuing these women and children by herself in the middle of the night. She has contentment with her life until she spies a man from her past at a London ball.

Nathaniel is simply amazed to see Cassandra again. They met in France years earlier and he saved her life amidst some terrible circumstances. They were on the run and they fell in love but were forced apart. Nathaniel firmly believes Cassandra betrayed not only him but also others resulting in several deaths. He is still fascinated with her.

These first few chapters of this novel are confusing. The reader is dropped in the middle of some fierce fighting and espionage in Victorian France (this feels much more like a Regency novel). Characters come and go with very little background and the leads have very different lives in France also, along with altered names too. Their backstory while intriguing was also disjointed as it was revealed piecemeal. Also their history was not given the proper amount of time. I never felt like I understood Cassandra based on the small amount of time she reminisces about her mother and her sister is nonexistent.

Their present day story is just as interesting and their conflicting emotions are well understood. Cassandra feels she can never atone for her actions and Nathaniel wants to maintain a wall of indifference but finds himself softening. Their emotions are believable and so are their actions. What I liked about this story is that the couple is willing to try to begin a relationship again without forgetting about the good and bad memories of their past. These experiences have shaped them and the author wisely allows them to express their hurt, confusion and forgiveness. Cassandra is admirable and her hero is too. Their romance is deep and sentimental and loving, 4 stars.

Actually 3 1/2 Stars

I liked this book - I really did - except for two really disappointing elements. There is past tragedy central to the current day relationship between Nathaniel and Cassandra. Regarding one element of their past specifically, he blames her for it and she feels guilty about it. (There is a lot more involved but I don't want to get into specific spoilers.) They struggle through their feelings about this throughout the book and are at a point of resolution and acceptance about it when it turns out neither had anything to do with it so there is nothing to resolve or forgive. It felt like a cheap cop out of the kind of difficult elements that can affect even a loving relationship.
