Effective communication is one of the THE most important things a leader can do. Most folks aren’t intentional about the information they share and their teams end up confused, with more questions, or with the wrong idea. Great leaders are thoughtful and plan their communication.

In this video, I walk you through my template for successful, effective communication. We review everything from the communication topic and the goal we strive to achieve by communicating to your audience and the benefit your audience will gain from whatever you’re communicating. We’ll also dive into what to include to ensure your communication is proactive and how to get your audience to act based on the information you share.

Every leader needs my Communication Plan Template in their toolkit. Don’t forget to snag it and put it into action!

Let me know what new projects or changes you’re looking to communicate with your teams or people by sending me a message on Instagram @KaylaFaheyAhrndt. I’d love to hear more and coach you through the different aspects of your communication plan.

              • 67. Joey Tribbiani + Kayla with Tips for How to Build Self Confidence

                Do you trust yourself?

Confidence is something we all must work to cultivate every day.

Confidence is that feeling of self-assurance that tells us “You got this!” or “You can do this!”

And yet, it can feel fleeting once you notice that little speck of self-doubt hanging out in the corner whispering and then growing louder, “That’s a silly idea.” Or “I don’t want to sound like I don’t know what I’m talking about. Better not mention anything.”

When I polled my Instagram community members on my stories on Friday (thx for participating!) one of the most voted for topics they’d like to hear from me about is “How to Have Confidence at Work.”

So this Glow Getters Podcast episode is going to be all about how to cultivate confidence in the workplace (and elsewhere!).

I share daily practices and quick ways to pump yourself up AND more long term strategies for building that confidence muscle.

😜And I get a little weird and share some of my fun side with you. I need help finding a cut out of a certain F•R•I•E•N•D•S character...listen 🎧 to find out who and why... 😂

After this episode, you’ll be more prepared to show up fully as you and trust your amazing self!

I cannot wait for you to listen!

                ✨I’d love to know…

❓…In what situations do you find it hardest to show up confidently to? (meetings, 1:1’s, email, etc.) Maybe who makes you feel less confident? (colleagues, boss, etc.) Message me on Instagram @KaylaFaheyAhrndt.

For me, it’s always been people who I think may be judging me for standing out…like my colleague peer group.

              • 66. Thinking Out Loud - My 7 Tips to Go Beyond Your Upper Limit

Our thoughts have so much power. I've had a lot of time to think over the last year because of the pandemic -- being at home more, being in quiet spaces more.

I’m sure you’d found yourself with your thoughts too — maybe you’ve felt “stuck with your thoughts” or “finally, I’m alone with my thoughts!” Or maybe if you’re like me, you’ve felt both feelings and somewhere in the middle at times.

An interesting observation I’ve noticed and also heard articulated on other podcasts, like Simon’s Sinek’s episode with Sara Blakely, the founder of Spanx, is that from a very young age, we’re taught “what to think,” not “how to think.”

                Whoa...

When something happens to you, or for you as I like to say, the way you think about it and react has everything to do with the trajectory of your life moving forward.

🎧In today's Glow Getters podcast episode, I'm breaking down my tips for "how to think" that will help us control our thoughts so we can show up as our best selves. Our happiest, our most positive, our most joyful, our most resilient selves.

In this episode, I’m going to give you my best tips so that you can always sort out your inner voice, find strength in what you know to be true, get curious to learn more and find out why, and ultimately ensure that your actions from your thoughts, lead you in an upward, positive trajectory rather than in a downward spiral.

                          Hello, March! 🌻
🌱The grass is starting to peak out from underneath the snow in my yard.
🌞The sun is shining more each day.
🐇The days are getting longer...Spring is coming!
A change in season always feels like a time for renewal.
We find ourselves shedding that winter brain and looking for new energy.
                          👀So...IT'S CHALLENGE TIME! {Here's your invitation!}
This month, we'll focus on routines, specifically habits and rituals.
➡️I am running a 21 Days to Badass Habits Challenge using Jen Sincero's book, "Badass Habits - Cultivate the Awareness, Boundaries, and Daily Upgrades You Need to Make them Stick."
➡️Swipe to see the calendar we'll follow!
➡️I will guide you through each day, so no need to purchase the book; however, I highly recommend it!
➡️Everyday, I'll have a post on my feed and in my stories with the daily habit topic. I will have a call to action for each day.
                          🥳At the end of the 21 Days (March 28th), folks who participated and were engaged by liking or saving my posts or commenting in my Call To Action boxes in my stories, will get a prize! {looking for suggestions on what it should be!}
If you're feeling like it's time to strengthen, create, or dump a habit you have, then this is a simple way to jump start that desire! The cool part about this is that you don't have to change your life 100% on day one. You do it incrementally over the 21 days!
👇👀If you're up for the challenge follow my posts and stories on instagram at @KaylaFaheyAhrndt. We start on Monday, 3/8!
