TERRIBLE and Very unbelievable

After listening to the first book in this series I expected this one to be as good but I was disappointed!! It was just too too unbelievable!!! Everything about this book was just stupid! There's no way that any of these scenarios would happen in real life. I wish I'd have just read the first book.

Typical Story

Let me start out with my gripe about the book. The narator has an awesome voice, but this is not the voice for this book. This book deserves it's justice and would have had me if the voice was a female voice. I wasn't too impressed with this book. I will say that I continued listening just to see where this book was going. Jade Jones seems like a great writer and I most definately will give her work another chance. This book wasn't anything new to me though. It's not the best book in world, and not the worse. It's a so so type book.

Good book terrible end

The story was great but it seemed like the writer lost steam at the end. She should of been a stronger heroine. I was disappointed in the end

Misleading title & bland story

What would have made THOT better?

The story did not flow smoothly, It needed better transitions from one event to the next;. so the listener/reader is not confused.. I felt there were a lot of holes. The story lacked character development.

What could Jade Jones have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

More attention should be paid to word usage, character & story development, and continuity

How could the performance have been better?

The narrator has a decent voice, but was the incorrect choice for this story. While I'm glad Cee Scott did not narrate the story, a females narrator should have been chosen.

You didnt love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The plot had potential had it actually been developed AND been a hood love story.

This was a story of a misguided child finding her way.

The author appears to have a common theme in all of the books I have read/or listened to thus far. All the women are weak, simple and reckless. The men tend to be womanizng and abusive. Even the men who "love" the women are still the kind that "strong arm" their women.

Choose Me

Struggled to finish. The story line is okay but the narrator was very dry. I'm glad the chapters were short.

Rushed Romance Is Just SEX

I hate to give this book an unfavorable review, being a writer myself, I know It's hard to tickle the ears of all listeners, but it was such a struggle to finish this book. It lacked the substance needed to make this short story feel real. Being in a BWWM marriage, I know it can be steamy hot, but it is also quite romantic, and this is what I look for in a book. I also didn't like the voice talent, there was only slight inflections in her voice so it was difficult to tell the difference between the main characters. This is not the best book I've ever heard, but it's certainly not the worst either. I will, however, give the author another shot to tickle my ears. Who knows, I just might enjoy it!

Cute short bwwm love story

I really enjoyed this story. The meeting & sex was rushed but, the reason the male character wanted a change in his life seemed noble. This story is short. I wish there was alittle more to building the relationship because lust was the key factor. but, it worked out in the end.. The sex scenes were not too erotic. This short story was worth the credit/money.. Good job Veronica Maxim with the short story & voice actor.

Outstanding!

There was never seen dull moment with thus story. Lots of trust and turns; can't wait for part 2.

Not an good ending

when finishing a book the end should be complete. unless it has a second part.

1 book full of memories

Patricia Floyd did the damn thang with the narration. She is the reason I kept listening to the story because her voice is so lively. This book here is something else and I will mos def have to listen to the next one. It wasn't the type of book that captures your soul, but it does make you feel certain ways about the characters. Harmonie was my fave LOVE sister. I feel that she represents myself the most in this book. This book is full of flashback memories of a time they once knew. The twist at the end was perfect because it captivates you to want more. Overall this book was ok. The story is well put together. Also let me point out that UBER is not a service that you can have them take you somewhere and you have to pay the driver once you get there. Lyric was riding around in a UBER and didn't have no money. That is false in order to get an UBER you have to have a form of payment attached in order to get a ride to where you need to go. I'm just saying cause I am a UBER driver and I can speak on that right there.

Not For The Faint Of Heart.....

This book sent me on an emotional rollercoaster. One Night Stand was my first read/listen by this author, however it certainly won't be my last. Often times while listening to this book I wanted to cringe or yell at something one of the characters did. Yes it was just that darn deep... From the moment the book starts you can feel the deep sadness and frustrations of the characters. I hated Ava & Melody. I felt so sorry for Lyric. No child should have to suffer at the hands of a monster even once let alone for years.

loved it the way the characters connect & the dysfunction pain & freaki'ness was very intense & believable . it had me hooked rewinding in stuff..Lol but overall a totally awesome book. not to forget the narrator simi howe love her... ready for book psrtII

I found the book very entertaining but lacking in some areas with performance. I didn't care for the ending too much but, I look forward to part 2

I'm really disappointed that I just spent 13 hrs of my life listening to a book, only to find out there's a continuation. I can't believe how frustrated I am. the story could have been over at the 8hr mark and not have a part 2. The author wrote this book almost like a screen play. Way too many details. I like the plot but dang, wrap it up!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

This story lacked the UMPH that Omar Tyree is famous for. This story did not do it for me.

The story-line. 2 hours in & I knew this was going to be a long 12 hours. It just didn't do it for me.

This book was easy to read, narration was great especially Taffy, however ending was abrupt and unexpected, left me with-no way that's the ending!!Very disappointed with ending.

Dear mama......smh

Taffy was a force of nature. You saw how her past shaped the future of her daughter's. The pace was quick. The characters were developed. The plot was drama filled with touches of humor.

I really enjoyed listening to this book. It was very funny at times, and entertaining. I have read a couple of book by Silk Smooth, and this one did not disappoint. I wish more titles were available on Audible.
