I refuse to give it away, but absolutely WONDERFUL!
I believe I reviewed these individually already, however, in a word RIVETING!
You definitely need to take your time and pay attention, or you will become confused, not because of the writing or the book, simply the twists and turns the plot takes, till you are, "Gee I thought I had it...".
Author(s) that really keep you hooked, and I am! SCARED to death- there is more in store for these amazing characters, and I I have the scariest Amazon bill, BOOKS! :)
YOU will love this author(s) and I expect to see the name on the N.Y. Times BS LIST!
    Simply LOVED!
    Multi Universes
Already read Shade of Mind, Which I Loved and had to read Mindscape to!... Loved everything about both books, so many twist and turns, deff page turner!.. Already got Silver Blood downloaded and Spectrum, guess you can tell, Loving this Arthur... Deff Recommend all the books, You will love them...They got paranormal, magic, syfy, a tad of romance to keep u rooting for the good guys!!!..Love Ciaron and Mandilne and Jo and Tadgh....And all the rest of the characters!!! Excellent Read, Good Story U get sucked into, and u don't want to put the book down for a sec!!!... U will Enjoy this!!! I most certainly did.!!!
    Addictive reads.
The Mindscape series is the kind that is pretty much guaranteed to be addictive. As such I've no doubt that anyone who reads Mindscape 1 will inevitably end up reading more of the series' books. For those who are coming new to the series this means that they can take advantage of booksets such as this one. At the initial $5 price it's significantly less expensive than the $11 you'd pay to buy each book individually. Even if the price goes up later I still expect that it will be a comparative bargain.
Since I read and reviewed each of the initial Mindscape books individually I think the best thing at this point is to give you my individual reviews of the three books, so here it goes ..
    Mindscape 1
Having just finished the author's superb Shade of Mind series, and going the the withdrawal one suffers from at finishing a great series, I was delighted to find out about this book and the new series it starts. It's great to be back in this wonderful universe created by DN Leo and to be reunited with some favorite characters (but don't worry, as written both series stand alone and you can totally enjoy one without knowing the other even exists).

    Publisher's Summary:
Having offered sanctuary to the soul of the man who stole her brother's body, Vree heads north to Shkoder with two kigh struggling to co-exist in a single body. Although the odds aren't in their favour, there's a chance, a small chance, the Bards can find Gyhard a body of his own without anyone else having to die. But Vree was an assassin trained to kill on command, Gyhard has chosen to kill again and again on a quest for immortality, and the Bards aren't certain which of them is the more dangerous. No one, from the guard on the Citadel gate to the King himself, wants them anywhere near the single Healer who can Sing the Fifth Kigh.
No one except Magda, the Healer, whose heritage has taught her that things are not always as they seem.
In the end, Bardic suspicion becomes the least of Vree's problems. The dead walk in the mountains of Shkoder, kigh confined in rotting corpses, and Gyhard's past returned to haunt them. Hunted by the Bards and the Healer's family, Vree, Gyhard and Magda head for the mountains to try and Sing Gyhard's past to rest. To make matters worse, Vree's brother has yet to forgive her for saving Gyhard's life and is determined to bring Gyhard - and therefore Vree - back to the Empire to pay the price for treason.

    Plenty of action and adventure!
This book is part of a series that I just can't put down. If you like elementals, singing, and zombies then this series is for you! Plenty of sword, knife, and knock down drag out fights and touches of romance.
    Five Stars
    Great. More please
    Five Stars
Excellent addition to the quaters series
Best yet in the Quarters series
This book picks up almost where it's predecessor ("Fifth Quarter") left off. Vree and Gyhard have left the Empire and traveled to Shkoder in the hopes that a young and promising healer named Magda can find Gyhard a body without killing someone to claim it. If Gyhard ever kills again he will immediately come up under charges and be executed. Our initial conflict comes with with a jealous and emotionally wounded Bannon who will go through any length to steal back the life he and Vree shared up until Gov. Aralt's appearance.
"No Quarter" finally intermingles the plot lines of the characters from "Sing the Four Quarters" and those of "Fifth Quarter" as we meet a grown up Gerek and his little sister, Magda who are charged of taking care of a homesick Vree and a nervous Gyhard. Gerek has grown up to be a dashing romantic, while Magda inherited an iron will and streak of independence not uncommon in her family.
While the bards of Shkoder are marveling over Vree and Gyhard's "two kigh in one body" news comes in that points toward a reemergence of the walking dead, and therefore of Kars. Vree/Gyhard and Magda go off to finally put a stop to him, but they're not alone as Bannon and Gerek are quickly sent off to retrieve them.
All in all this book was so much fun to read! It may have used a well-worn plot line (oops we didn't kill *insert problem character here* the first time, but we'll get 'em now!), but the bits and pieces that Huff added to it to make it her own completely distance it from anything approaching banality. Huff's story is lively and engaging. I found Bannon's immature reactions in "Fifth Quarter" annoying at best, and downright painful to read at others.

Once, the Seven Shapers dwelled in accord. First-born among them was Haomane, Lord-of-Thought and with his brother and sister gods, the Seven drew upon of the power of the Souma, claimed a race of beings for their own and began shaping the world to their will.
But Haomane saw the ways of this new world and was displeased. For in his younger brother Satoris, once called the Sower, Haomane thought too prideful and in his gift, the quickening of the flesh too freely to the races...and to that of Man in particular. Haomane asked Satoris to withdraw his Gift from Men but he refused. And so began the Shapers' War.
Eons have passed. The war that ensued sundered the very world. Haomane and his siblings lay to one end of a vast ocean unable to touch their creations, Satoris and the races of the world on the other. Satoris has been broken and left adrift among the peoples of the world and is reviled, with most of the races believing that it was he alone who caused the rift and depriving them of the balm of the Seven. He sits in Darkhaven, controlling his own dominion-seeking not victory but neither vengeance.

    (Harumph.....)
Jacqueline Carey's "Kushiel" series (in print) is one of my all-time favorites. I love her world building and character development and in the "Kushiel" series, she introduced a hero and heroine like no other. I just never got into this book. Ever. I thought the narration was rather flat- and 2 weeks after finishing the book, I cannot even tell you what it was about. Not the most helpful review, I guess, but there it is.

    Fantastic Read
I hope Mr. Schenk does not take this the wrong way. This series was hands down the best I've ever read with the worst editing. Lucky for me it was all minor stuff and the presentation didn't suffer too terribly. But it was so prevalent that if this series had been anything less than a 5 star effort, I'd have set it down halfway through book one. Fantastic read, sir! Just great.
    It's actually finished
Excellent ending to an interesting series. I hate if the last book in a series is a series of shoehorns for the writers next work. The story is complete for Seth but there is still room for more in the stories of the Red Bastards or Grimm.
    What a read
This was so much fun. Completely unique in both characters and story line. If you would like being carried along on a story you wish you were in or apart of- then enjoy
Loved this book and this series.
Loved this book and this series. Sad to see it over, but hopefully Seth and others will be back in future tales.
    Good book
An interesting world and a good series. Enjoyable reading with the odd twist here and there. This trilogy has an interesting twist on how vampires are created and how you can learn new skills.

I just finished reading Thomas Locke's sequel to Emissary....Merchant of Alyss...WOW!!! What a read!!! From the 1st page I was drawn into Hyam's world of mages and magic....Elves, Ashanta, and humans inhabiting a realm beyond imagination. When witches steal the breath of Hyam's beloved Joelle, he goes on a quest to save her life and defend the lives of the people in his community...a dangerous quest across mountains and deserts...encountering unknown beasts, an enormous bird, and a hidden island that is home to dragons. Pushed beyond exhaustion, battling unseen foes, Hyman continues his journey. Will his quest end in success or will he face total devastation in the end??? To find the answer, I highly recommend that you read not only Merchant of Alyss, but begin with Emissary....and let the adventure begin!!!!
The first book is better than this book
The first book is better than this book, but this one is necessary to continue the story and it still commands attention. I'm looking forward to book 3. Locke is good at creating characters who are real and dynamic. Many times novels such as these contain reluctant heroes whom I end up wanting to yell at and say, "Come on and get over yourself. You know you are the hero in this story, so stop moaning and start doing." Although this novel's hero is still modest and doesn't consider himself heroic, I never felt like yelling at him because he was always willing to move forward regardless of how he felt about himself or his abilities/qualities.
    An enjoyable read
Hyam has withdrawn from the world along with his wife Joelle. He lost his magical ability when he defeated the red mage and mourns this loss. Hyam may have been content to remain in this state but an attack by an unknown mage against Hyam and all that he loves draw Hyam on a quest to save those he love.
I also enjoyed the second book in this series. The characters are very believable and we get to know more about a few others. I think that the author does a good job in choosing only a few voices to tell the story, although it is still mostly Hyam's point of view shared. The story takes us to a much enlarged world full of many different peoples.
    A great fantasy sequel!
If you enjoyed Book 1,Book 2 does not disappoint. Familiar old characters and intriguing new characters embark on a quest full of twists and turns.
Awesome read! This second book of the series goes ...
Awesome read! This second book of the series goes above and beyond the excellent first installment. Great characters.

    Another winner!
I have put Rain Oxford on my must read list! I absolutely love her books. This is another wonderful continuation of Ayden's and Merlin's adventure.
I love how Ayden can be so literal. Make me laugh every time.
I love J. Scott Bennett's voice. He also brings the characters to life.
This is a promotional copy and this is my personal review.
    Adventure, magic and humour
This is another great audiobook in the Sorcerers Saga. Its an excellent adventure story with characters that have depth and make you laugh. Aidens talents continue to improve and even though he is faced with one problem after another he still retains his innocence and pure heart. The humorous repartee between him and Merlin makes you laugh, as does his oblivion to the relationship between Mason and his brother. J Scott Bennetts narration fits the book perfectly. His intonation and tone make each character unique and brings the whole story to life. This is a thoroughly enjoyable story that continues a great series. Just when you think that Aiden and Merlin have found solutions to most of the problems, the author throws in a twist and you happily realize that there is much more adventure to come.
    More trouble for Ayden
We get to follow more of the adventures of Ayden and Merlin.... and we meet someone who looks just like Ayden (as if one of him wasn't enough).
This book was quite the ride. I could not get enough of it! The story was fantastic. This has been my favorite book yet in The Sorcerer's Saga. If you've not listened to the others, pick them up along with this one. I doubt you'll regret it!
For me, the narration of this book is up there with Jim Dale. I absolutely love books narrated by J. Scott Bennett and can't recommend him as a narrator highly enough.
This review copy audiobook was provided by the author/narrator/publisher free of charge.
    Fantasy at its finest
I really enjoyed this book (as well as the previous books in the series). Though this would probably be geared toward middle grade and older children, it is entertaining even to adults. This book had a great story and great characters. I particularly enjoyed all the descriptions of modern dress as seen from an outsider. This book is just a lot of fun. I listened to the Audible audio version of the book narrated by J. Scott Bennett. I love all of his narrations, and this one is no different. He does a great job of really bringing the characters to life.
    Book 5
This series are good adventure stories and good coming of age .Stories well written full of surprises and both innocent and sophisticated

I'm hooked and ready for book 2!
I would recommend this book for folks who love the epic sword and sorcery genre and don't mind a little bit of dough around the edges character personalities. I love the characters in this book and I have become emotionally invested in the outcome of the series, especially regarding the strong female lead found in Payetta. She is absolutely an irrepressible free spirit and needs the folks closest to her who love and care for her to temper her anger issues that result from her dramatic youth, which completely allowed me to identify with her on a level that I had not expected to find but enjoyed immensely. The story is well crafted as are the characters and the backdrop. I have found a great new series and a new author to love in one of my top three favorite genres.
Interesting story; weak characters; potential for growth.
Introducing Payetta coming of age as a Mage. She is very head strong, immature and brusque. I was not attracted to the character. Nor to her husband and their relationship. Daeken was more interesting though the repetitive references to his great great grandfather got old. Am hoping that Daeken and Payetta develop much more in character. Otherwise some inklings of future development where Payetta grows maturely and into her magic.
    More, I need more!
Wow, what a great bunch of characters! I loved the storyline and while the writing was a bit risque, it was also humorous and kept me interested. I want more of Payetta and Justen and Daeken and She Grunts. I am anxiously waiting for the next book.
    Wow!! Amazing!!!!
What a fantastic story!! It had everything from nail biting suspense and almost non stop action to moments that made me laugh out loud. To sum it up in one word, it had "everything". I can't wait for the next book in this series!!
    Excellent read ...
The storyline and character development were great. Payetta, Justin, Daeken, Old Ferren, and the Heros Brigade can they protect meadow? Read and find out. A lot of action with a few twist and turns. Read and enjoy!

    Mr. K... I love/hate you
The bloody beauty. That is this series ... and also the main character's nickname, but still. This book (and its firstborn sibling) are both beautifully written and bloody. I love them.
The world that JK has woven here is a place I never wish to leave. Even if, at the end of this series, we see no more of Mia, I would very much like a few more books from this world (please and thank you, Mr. K)
As for why I love/hate our dear author? Well, you will just have to read it and find out for yourself.
The only thing I would recommend to you is purchasing a copy of the paperback as well so you can look at the beautiful cartography within.
    entertaining but with some problems
okay so I don't really review often but I have to with this book. whilst the book is pretty entertaining I can't help but be irritated by one major problem, and that is that the majority of the gladiatorial parts of the book are quite obviously ripped off from the Spartacus TV series. the task master with his whip, the champion gladiator disliking the main hero, his affair with the dominus, the expression that the hired help uses when talking to the dominus and many more, it's not even hidden, it's glaringly obvious. My only other problems with this book is with the narrator, whilst on the whole he is quite good, he often seems to forget who's voice he is doing and often Mia speaks with a man's gravelly voice. He also occassionly puts weird pauses mid sentence that can complete throw you out of your immersion. my final flaw is that he really needs to move slightly further away from his microphone when recording because you can hear every moist mouth smack and his overly loud swallowing, after a while it starts to grate and makes it hard to pay attention to what's being said. With these exceptions, on the whole it's still a fairly enjoyable book with the ups and downs you expect after the first one and had a solid ending that makes you look forward to the next installment.
