Fireman & Widow love story

I am a big fan of Lindzee Armstrong. Her stories are well written, captivating, and clean. This one is no different! I had a hard time putting it down. I love this series!

The narration was well done and brought the story to life. I have listened to several books narrated by her and I always feel immersed into the story.

Kate is a widow from a previous very unhappy marriage. Her house burned down when her husband fell asleep with a cigarette while drunk watching TV. She had a pretty horrible husband.

Taylor is a firefighter whose first house fire was at Kate's house. It was a pretty traumatic experience for him. He never forgot any of the details of that horrible night.

Eighteen months later Kate is ready to try finding a partner again and she turns to Toujour, a professional matchmaking company helping women meet their perfect man. Taylor is also tired of trying to find love after having some dysfunctional relationships and also turns to Toujour for help.

This is a great story and the narrator does an amazing job placing you in each scene. You can not go wrong with this amazing duo! I love her HEA conclusions.

Sweet and Clean

Heartache, Healing and a HEA

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yew! I really enjoy Tiffany Williams as a narrator. I've listened to a couple other of Lindzee's books and really enjoyed them as well as Tiffany being the narrator. The story was fun with well developed characters and storyline.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the moments between Kate and Taylor. When she first sees him as a potential match on Brooke's computer at Toujour(the matchmaking company), when they have their first date and she finally realizes why he seems familiar, his saving her at the restaurant, riding home with her in a cab and many, many other moments.

What about Tiffany Williamss performance did you like?

Tiffany did a great job with the different character voices. I liked Kate's character best. She gets a little feisty in a couple spots but I can't blamer her.

Touching Right Down to the Soul

This story just has all the feels. Sweet, quiet Levi finds his love is the perfect way to end this series. By listening to the other books in the series, we all know that Levi ends up with Elsie but who could have predicted her story. Tillie Cole is one the best romance authors at creating compelling stories that keep us enthralled to the very last word. This story effectively deals with several serious life issues while always keeping romance as the main objective of the story.This series needed to be sweet to deal with the complex issues presented. I love that Tillie Cole was able to broach these issues without overpowering the romance.

The narrators were good but some of those Italian accents needed help. But overall a very good listen.

Absolutely worth the credit. I have listened to over 1100 romance/erotica books in my library and this series rates in my top 10. A positively amazing series.

Sweet Depression

This book wasnt for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I don't know who would really enjoy this book. Maybe angsty teenage girls who feel that no one understands them.

How could the performance have been better?

The actors sounded so young to me (14-17), so listening to the sex scenes made me feel creepy and uncomfortable.

Really I don't all of the 4 and 5 star reviews this book got. I've read the other books in the series and didn't dislike the as much as this one. Or maybe I liked them better because I read them and didn't have to listen to them.

So good!

Of all of Tillie Cole's Home series, this is my favorite! The characters of Elsie and Levi were so compelling and neither one felt like they fit in with the world they lived in. This audiobook dealt with issues of bullying, grief and homelessness. The journey they take on their way to love and filling the empty places in their hearts made this such a wonderful story.

Cute, But Predictable.

What did you love best about Bedmates?

The story touches on some serious issues of PTSD.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

1st off, the narration was awkward. I felt as is Maddie was drunk the 1st half of the book until I got used to the breathy and almost too smooth narration. It just seemed forced and unnatural.

I loved that this book tied in other characters from the Royals Series. I loved those books, and I loved getting to know them a little bit more with their daughter in the picture.

A great American Fairytale.

Bedmates is a sweet tale of the American Royalty, the Presidents daughter Maddie and the Vice Presidents son Jake. While this book has its very hot moments, it is filled with sincere, serious and heartbreaking ones too.

Jake broke my heart and melted it at the same time. It was gut wrenching what he went through. I love what Nichole did with his story, it made it more emotional and made me love him even more.

I love stories about royalty, and this one is no different. Its the perfect American Fairytale, a great first in a series I cant wait to read more of.

Not Much New Here

I really like this series but it seems that about 90% of this book could be a ditto of Sweet Home. I would have enjoyed it more if Sweet Home was dual POV and 2 hours longer. I did enjoy hearing it from Rom's POV but I felt like I listen to the same story told twice. One good thing about that is that David Radford does a much better Rome than Anna Parker-Naples.

If you listened to Sweet Home you can skip this one. But I am really looking forward to the rest of the series.

Should've Listened to the Reviews

I broke my own rule. I read the reviews and then ignored them. And now I'm going to say what they already said.

This is mostly a retelling of the story in book one, just from Romeo's POV. I don't know about you but I don't want to re-read a story - even if another person is telling it. There was a bit more added into the end but I honestly don't see why this couldn't have been part of Sweet Home.

Love the characters but wish the author hadn't strung us into two books when she could've accomplished the same story using multiple POV in one book.

Sweet Rome is book 1.5 in the Sweet Home Seires. I really enjoyed Sweet Rome and can't wait to continue with the series. I loved Rome and Molly. Sweet Rome is Rome's POV from Sweet Home. Sweet Rome does have some new content too.

This series is so addicting!

5 Crazy Ass Must Read/Listen Stars!!!!!

I usually don't like to read the retelling of a story in the male POV but this one is the best I have read/listened to in a long time. It was great to get Rome's side of the story and to hear his feelings and what was going on with him.

I can't say this enough. Tillie Cole is amazing! The versatility with which she writes is awe inspiring. She has quickly become a top favorite of mine and continues to move up on my Crazy Ass Stalking List.

I loved David Radford as the narrator.

Another win in Destiny Bay

The second in the new Destiny Bay series. This was an awesome story. Kennedy who for most of her life was made to feel like she wasn't worth it made this last break up, with who she thought would be her forever was devastating. A trip home to Grandma helps Kennedy find the long forgotten" Icing on top". Kennedy finds herself the new owner of a small town bakery. Enter Luke. Trying to assuage his guilt from not taking his place in the family business is trying to build what he think is his late fathers dream. She bought what he need and she isn't selling it back! An story of finding your worth, making things right, and that with hard work your dream can over come a lot of obstacles. Another bit of awesomeness from Marina Adair.

Sweet as pie!

Kennedy and Luke make the best duo. To watch them both fight for what they believe to be their dream is a sight for sore eyes. I wanted them to fight for each other, and they did. To read the story unfold and to get to go on a journey with a powerful woman like Kennedy was great! Luke brought out so much in her that it just made my heart jump from excitement. Such a sugary sweet read. I loved it!

Fabulous Storytelling

What a delightful and beautiful love story with a cast of memorable characters. I enjoyed how the author developed this story and all of the characters.

This author is a fabulous storyteller and her romance stories are always exceptional, but this is by far one of my favorites and will definitely be on my to read again list.

This is a great romance. It has humor, longing, romance, and just enough steam. The story of Kennedy and Luke is wonderful.

bwwm match maker quick romance

Two high level (rich) individuals decide to use a exclusive match maker to find "chemistry". Slightly descriptive sexual scene. Extremely quick pairing. Female lead has "issues" that make her change her mind about what she wants & being hot & cold towards a guy that really lust after her.. Slightly frustrating female character but the story is short and worth the credit/money if this is your cup of tea.

A father's important role

I liked this storyline but it lacked pizazz and a riveting experience. What it did have was two insecure people looking for a connection, commitment and love. It also showed how important the father and his treatment of other women plays a huge factor in his daughters lives.

Disappointing too short. Rushed

Well that was a waste. There was enough "stuff" to make this into a good read. It was just too short. Too rushed! The narrator needs more practice.

Pretty Good

I want to see the story is sweet and romantic to a certain extent. I think my biggest problem was the fact that they started the day off with him being such a hoe. I didn't like the fact that one minute he's I got a woman after woman after woman and then the next minute if he's so ready to commit to one woman. I just found that to be a little too quick of a change and disgusting. I mean come on he had just had a woman in his bed and he could remember doing the down and dirty with her but in the same breath you want a committed relationship with someone. That's a little too quick of a switch. I don't know, after that the I kind of wanted her to find out just how down and dirty he really was. But I guess in the end you need redeemed himself and I don't want to say too much because then I'll give it away. All in all I didn't have a problem with the story, he was sweet and they made a really cute couple. I believe the female main character did have some Hang-Ups with her past and she needs to work through it. Rich people really do have it way too easy.

This is a very enjoyable short read. Veronica Maxim writes some of the best short romance stories. I loved Levi and Adrianna characters, they were perfect for each other.

The narrator really brought out the heart and soul of the story in a powerful way. She was perfect.

Demonic Desires by Mandy M. Roth because of its beautiful story that touched my heart on such a visceral level.

The scene where Christiana tells Jonathon how she got her scar. It was incredibly powerful and touching.

I listen to audio books on my commute. This one is so steamy I kept my windows up!

I love the story. Christiana and Jonathan make for a compelling couple and a complex story. It's also fun that it's topical, based on when I listened.

The reader is just terrific and really helped keep me engaged. It was obvious that she had read and studied the story which make for the best readers.

Give it a listen! You won't be disappointed.

Erotic, sexy, exquisite ... the sex scenes are beautifully written and narrated (nothing trashy here ... it's pure magic!)

while the hot steamy sex is great this book also has a great story line .. I was sucked in and delighted by the amount of emotion I felt myself towards moments and characters.

I really enjoyed this book. It's a rare woman who will make the effort to connect with her man.

Great Series

I really enjoyed this book and I loved this series. I would actually like to see another book about William and Jenna. Jenna kind of got on my nerves sometimes but overall most certainly worth a credit.

Hello Sir William!!!

I just finished this book and was disappointed with no epilogue but was pleasantly surprised that finally I had read a romance novel that was not like the usually lead male and was not surprised that I could want a mam like that.

Autism spectrum is not reason for romance and love not to make for a good love story.

I feel like we need to be as open to love and look inside of a person and not follow a set of social regulations to guide our heart.

worth a credit; in this audible fanatic mind was a yes hands down.

Good job depicting Aspergers. Plus loved her tolerance and compassion for him. Glad they went to Bosnia.

Different

The story between William and Jenna was a little different. William suffers from Austim and does not pick up on a lot of verbs and emotional queues.

Jenna grew up in a war torn country and has experienced death and loss.

They both have a lot to learn about how to love and forgive others and themselves. It was a sweet story.
