I got the first book and then kept getting the next one. Like previous ones, this book kept my attention through out the entire book. I enjoy the characters and the plot. Each book adds to the last and is interesting in it's own right.

another fantastic archangel segment

this book continues with little updates of nearly all the characters from early books which is brilliant, and then takes us further forward into Raphael s and Ellie's story

my only complaint is that it finished to quickly and we will be waiting a while for the next.

Raphael and Eli's story continues to captivate and amaze me ... what a wonderful world Nalini brings us every time a book arrives. Truly excellent writing ! Couldn't imagine listening to these books without Justine Eyre she is the voice of this world.

More than a vampire book!

The mystery is intriguing and keeps you fully involved. Addison is so real that you feel her emotions and she's just a little screwed up when it comes to Cannon and Lachlan who are hot, brothers and also vampires. The reader on the audible book is so good that you feel like your there.

An exciting new series!

Addison Fitzpatrick is a pusher, she has super human abilities of speed and telekinesis, and she's a mess. Caught in the middle of a drug addiction, and owing her supplier a ton of money, she is rescued by the most unlikely person or should I say thing. Her unique strengths is the only thing that can save or her kill her.

The world that Addison lives in has for sure a pretty interesting one. The public is aware of people they call pushers, each one possessing different abilities. They also know about the vampires that live amongst them. The vampires in this world though don't hide from the sun, nor do they melt from holy water, or even stepping on sacred ground. When Addison finds herself bound to one, Cannon Blackwood one of the most powerful vampires around, she learns just how dangerous they really can be. The bond she has with Cannon allows him to pull her to his beck and call whenever he so desires. She owes him her life, in return she must stop the drug use and come whenever he calls her with no questions asked. I found this arrangement fare at first, but then when he tries to seduce her, and even stake claim to her, all romantic gestures were lost on me. Cannon is a piece of shit that has the power to act like a spoiled brat and take whatever he decides he wants. Seven years later she is called by Cannon to fulfill one of her first obligations to him.

Addison is now introduced to Cannon's brother Lachlan. The both of them are to work together on a job Cannon needs done, but their first impressions of each other are not good. They definitely have a rocky start, and I find it interesting where the story line goes with them. Addison came from a very abusive past, and the drug addiction wasn't surprising because of that. The writing and emotion that went into Addison's history felt very personal, real which made Addison's character more believable and endearing. I really appreciated the action scenes that took place, and the plot. The entire book had me captivated, and worrying for what would become of Addison.

Excellent!

This book series is amazing. I love all the characters, story telling and action. The narrator does a wonderful job of bringing it to life as well! I highly recommend to anyone that likes paranormal and action rolled into one.

As good as first book in series

Vendetta, second book in the Deadly Curiosities series, was just as good as the first book. Plot engaging and suspenseful, characters memorable and interesting, magical world realistic, and battles with evil, including fallen angels, riveting.

Not what I was expecting

This book was a little disappointing as it wasn't at all what I was expecting. I thought the book was going to be told from Sorren's point of view, which would have been interesting as I would have liked to find out more about his character, however the story is actually told entirely from Cassidy's point of view instead. In fact Sorren barely even appeared during the first half of the book. Still an enjoyable story though and I would definitely buy another if the author continues the series.

An epic, ambitious adventure

In my opinion, this book gets off to a shaky start. Hero and Eldin are to do battle with a conspiracy of the Dreamland's most evil forces. But rather than set up the situation with a gradual unfolding of events, Lumley shoves his characters right into it, explaining the full background of the conspiracy in a long letter from Randolph Carter. I found this to be somewhat forced and awkward, it was as if Lumley couldn't be bothered to set up the story in a more natural way.

Still, I can forgive him that, because once the weak setup is done, Hero and Eldin are launched into their most sweeping adventure yet.

But it's also the corniest adventure yet. All of the old villians are back and united - it reminds me of a silly Batman plot, with the arch-villians banding together to fight the caped crusader, but spend as much time fighting with themselves. Still, it works, as long as you don't take it too seriously.

This is the first of the Dreamlands books that introduces some Great Old Ones into the action. As usual with Lumley, he shows them as being far more interested in and susceptible to the affairs of men than Lovecraft ever would have. The HPL purists out there will probably be disappointed or offended. I'm not a purist myself, but I did have problems with some of the Nightgaunts starting to act heroic, on their own, being even a little bit human.

Once the action gets started, this is the most ambitious of Lumley's Dreamlands books, with harrowing escapes, battles between large fleets of sky-ships, all the way up to the incredible fate of our heroes at the end of the story. If you're willing to tolerate the absurdity of some of it, and can deal with the liberties Lumley takes with some of HPL's creations, it's a fun ride.

Reunion!

Our heroes are back for more adventures! In Mad Moon of Dreams everyone is back. The Hive Queen, Zura, almost every evil and good character we have ever met in this series so far. It leads to a fun reunion. Hero and Eldin however, still have their duties. An ancient god residing on the moon wishes to take over dreamlands. It is up to them to stop it.

The story was not too bad but if you still have your full hearing the high pitched voice of the reader is horrible...cannot recommend this based upon reader as this voice ruins everything

Why mess with a good thing? NEW NARRATOR IS AWFUL!!!

Its absolutely amazing how big a difference the narrator makes to how you like a book. Same author, great series I enjoyed for 6 books. BOOK 7? The screech of nails on a chalkboard... Arika Escalona Rapson = Awesome voice and narration... Tanya Eby, the new narrator? I honestly need some extra strength excedrin after 15 minutes of her horrible, stilted narration. I honestly thought that I downloaded a bad copy, the reading was so choppy. Its bad enough that I even returned two other books she is the narrator of without bothering to try them. May have to break down and READ this book because the narrator is painful to my ears. WHAT HAPPENED?? Why the change????

The Perfect, Painful, Captivating end to an epic!

I loved it from start to finish. I have the entire Blood Singer series in paperback, kindle, and audio book from audible. What more can I say, it's fantastic!

the blood singer series is fantastic and this aegment, while taking an unexpected turn, has me still firmly in its grasp! actiin, adventure, magic and love! oh and you might want to get out the tissues of you know these characters.

story is good, audible narration not good

The story was good, with some interesting character and plot development. The audible narration was less than great. The clipped speech doesn't fit the main character well but does get better as the book progresses. The women are performed will but the men are simply tragically badly performed. This narrator needs to expand her ability to portray male characters. Overall worth the read or listen.

Absolutely fabulous!

First off, let me state that I absolutely love the Coursodon Dimension series by M.L. Ryan. I've read every book in it so far and it's my go-to when I want to read a book that's fun and snarky and filled with amazing characters.

When the first book Special Offers came out in audio, I gobbled it up. Hollie Jackson did a fantastic job of Hailey's personality and the voices for every single character so I was thrilled to find out she did this book as well. There's been a huge gap - over a year - between when the first and second books went into audio. I have my own ideas on that... that in a second.

If you are familiar with the series, you'll know there are a lot of Xs in Courso words. Like lots and lots of Xs. I wondered what they would sound like and half expected the narrator to do polite pauses before she spoke them. Imagine my happiness (and glee) when she spoke those words as if they were her own tongue. There was no hesitancy in her voice as she read the book and her pronunciations of the Coursodon language were impeccable. Which brings me to my thoughts on why the second book took so long to produce.

I've decided Hollie must be at least half Courso and must have been in Coursodon when M.L. Ryan asked her to produce the second book.Obviously she didn't get the request until she returned. How anyone not a native-born Courso could so easily produce the language would boggle the mind. (And yes, that was a joke.) However, she did pronounce the language with unerring accuracy. So maybe...

While you don't need to have listened to Special Offers to get Special Rewards, I would highly suggest it. Then prepare yourself for hours and hours of listening enjoyment. Oh, and just a hint? Don't drink anything while listening. You'll snort it out your nose. And soda, especially, is painful that way.

Great fantasy that this author takes you to.

Loved this fantasy series. As stated previously in other review s of this series, it was action packed. The author is well written. There are werewolves,vampire like beings, magic, family drama, of course a love triangle, and a likable female heroine that kicks some you know what. Looking forward to other books from this author. This was an easy read. No slow boring areas.

Why I waited to review.

There books are so enthralling. The twists and turns of the plot might make your head spin. Just be prepared to read the whole series, otherwise you will not be happy. W.j.May is a fine writer and deserves for you to read her books!!!

*I requested and was graciously granted a copy of this audio book for an honest review*

I really enjoyed this! While some aspects were familiar in that a lot of stories use them, they were still added in to this story very well, and made fresh by the different and new fantasy elements entwined. Magic, fireballs for light, all familiar. But the things watching from the things (I'm try very hard not to give spoilers here haha), that was fun and a bit thrilling. Especially when I listened to it in the dark (I finally got the kids to sleep and decided to just hit play) and a blasted cat caught the little bit of lighting and they glowed at me! I had parts that I figured out and predicted fairly early on, but other parts that I guessed completely wrong. The story felt like it took a nice pace, and I enjoyed the characters. Very well done, I'll definitely be listening to the second book!

The narrator was just great! She had good tone and pace, she had good tension for most of the narrative. She even gave some of the characters a different accent, which was wonderful! Really made listening much more fun.

I'd suggest this audible book for anyone who likes magic, demons, and fantasy in general.
