This questioning of the sexualities of specters led to his last book, Queer Hauntings: True Tales of Gay and Lesbian Ghosts, published in 2009. Currently, he’s busily at work researching for a follow-up book, once again delving into the mysterious realm where ‘weird’ and ‘queer’ blur together.  Whenever possible, Ken puts his vast knowledge of “useless information” to use in the form of tours, lectures, or writing. How about you?  Growing up near Milwaukee, Mike was always interested in ghost stories, UFO sightings, and other weird tales. He came to Madison for college in 1995 and loved it so much he stayed. Mike has been performing as bassist and vocalist in Madison rock band, Sunspot, since those college days and in 2010, he founded a tourism company dedicated to preserving local history, folklore, and showing people a great time around the city. In addition to performing with his band and hunting ghosts, he hosts a weekly podcast on the paranormal and pop culture called See You On The Other Side and handles licensing musicians’ songs to films and television for the music website, Broadjam.com. Todays guest is David L. Sloan.  David L. Sloan is a Key West author, artist, ghost hunter, historian and dolltender for Robert The Doll. He is the author of over 20 books, including Ghosts of Key West, Haunted Key West, Robert the Doll and the Lost Diary of Count Von Cosel.  He has been featured on Travel Channel, Discovery, History and BBC.  He has had first hand experiences with Santeria, Voodoo, ghost communication and paranormal investigations.  A paranormal pioneer, Sloan started one of America’s first ghost tours in Key West in 1996 with Haunted Key West’s Original Key West Ghost Tour. He later launched the first ghost hunting tour in the United States with Sloan’s Key West Ghost Hunt. Every ghost tour in Key West utilizes Sloan’s research to script their tours, while Sloan continues to innovate the industry.  Ghosts are more to him than just a business. Murch purchased his first antique Ouija board in 1992 and became obsessed with unraveling the mystery of its origins. Since then, he’s devoted his life to researching the history of the Ouija board and its founders, with Murch often traveling the world to track down descendants of all those involved with the introduction of the mystifying oracle. He recently turned his home into a Ouija and Talking Board Museum fulfilling a lifelong dream.
