The San Francisco Giants fell in their first game of a two-game series to the San Diego Padres at Petco Park. Logan Webb, who pitched much better than his box score might indicate, gave up nine hits and five runs, but eight of the nine hits were singles. Willy Adames showed more signs of life tonight, and he might be turning a corner at the plate.
