The San Francisco Giants were on the verge of a disastrous loss to the Colorado Rockies until a four-run ninth inning lifted them to a 6-5 victory at Coors Field. Casey Schmitt, Wilmer Flores, and Mike Yastrzemski all drove in runs in the top of the ninth inning to put the San Francisco Giants ahead after a lackluster offensive outing through the prior eight innings. The pitching was not particularly dominant, but they did just enough to give the San Francisco Giants their sixth-consecutive win.
