In this episode, I talk about the inner child. A recent discover in therapy has lead me to uncovering my inner child and figuring out what she wants so that I can give those things to her instead of seeking them out in the outside world. This is a personal journey that I'm on that I wanted to share with you all today in hopes that you can find a bit of this information useful in your own life.

I heard this recently and I had to share it: Happiness comes from solving problems. The goal should be to find the problems you enjoy having and enjoy solving. Often times we have incorrectly channeled this into trying to find people with problems and solving those. Jumping at the chance to save someone from themselves. That isn't really how this works. I dive into what this means and how to apply it to your own life. Go and find your happiness my friends. I know I sure am!

Forgiveness is part of the process of healing. We are told to forgive and accept, but how do you forgive someone who isn't sorry for what they did? This is the question I tackle on today's episode. How can we forgive a person who is not sorry for what they did to us? This can be one of the hardest things to battle when you are on your healing journey. We don't always get the apologies we thing we deserve. I'll go through some ways to make space for that forgiveness today and an exercise for you to try in order to forgive that person (or people).

Relationships are a learning experience. I've certainly learned a lot from each and every one that I've had. Right now I'm in a space of figuring out how I can use everything I've learned to make better decisions in the future. I want a partner who comes to me whole and looking for the same things as me. In this episode, I talk through what has been my process and how I'm learning to be patient, selective and wait for the right one instead of rushing into something because I can't give myself what I've been searching for in others.

I took a hiatus after my personal life became a little nuts. I've recorded this update episode so many different times now and haven't posted it. I've been giving myself the time and space to heal before recording and posting. So here I am, here's an update and where I'm headed with myself. I'd like to think that'll I will have the space to continue weekly episodes but I cannot commit to that yet. But my heart is here and wanting to create more content.

Phew, this is a tough one. I'm going to divulge something I have not shared before on the podcast. In fact, much of this I haven't shared with many folks at all. I recorded this episode near the end of 2021 as I was going through a difficult situation in my life then that triggered a full PTSD episode. In this episode I'm going to share what happened, the triggering behavior and then the PTSD that followed. I was presented with a unique opportunity in my life to confront who I believed was a narcissist (this is a label I placed on this person due to my experience with others, not a medical diagnosis, so take that for what it is).  It was scary, it triggered me and caused a PTSD episode. However, on the other side of it now, it was a very significant moment in my healing journey. Join me on this episode of Girl Versus World.

Let's face it, we are not going to agree with everyone. Even if we do our very best to surround ourselves with people we do find agreeable, we will still come across people in our lives that we do not agree with or share the same values. I think we experienced this a great deal during the pandemic and even the Trump presidency. We saw A LOT of conflict between groups of people who did not agree on either of those very debateable subjects. In this episode, I share some ways on how we can deal with and coexist with people who we do not agree with or find difficult. Since we can't live in a tiny protective bubble, we have to figure out a way to make it work.
