Nothing good in life comes easy! You've got to be hungry. Hungry for change, hungry for success, hungry for God, hungry for the word of God. You've got to want to want it and want it bad. You've got to put in the work to receive the reward. 

Jesus spoke in parables to His disciples. Many non-believers of His time did not understand His parables or his teachings. I believe it is because they did not believe He was/is the son of God.  I don't think it is much different for us today reading His word in the bible. Unless we believe Jesus is the one and only savior, accept Him into our heart, seek Him daily, and ask for the Holy Spirit to help translate His word then we too may have a hard time understanding His parables, His word, His teachings.

So...we must be hungry for the word of God! We must get to know Him on a deeper level and allow His will to be done in our lives. Listen to this podacast and find your hunger.

I used to think that every hardship I ever went through was just bad luck. But after I was saved I realized that God does not waste anything! He uses everything for good, He turns everything around if you love Him and serve Him. 

It was then when my perspective changed. When I witnessed all the wounds, the scars, the pain were actually turned into my biggest weapons. Thru those wounds I found my confidence, my strength, my purpose....pretty much everything that I love about myself now. Lol, who knew? 

You see God is perfect, He makes no mistakes. When you love Him, serve Him and trust in Him...you witness things come together in the most unlikely way. That's when you grow and when your relationship with the Lord gets even deeper. 

Your wounds with become your weapons. Trust in Him. You were never created or expected to go thru this life alone.

When the devil knocks....do you let him in? Do you even know when he's entered? What door have you left unlocked....unguarded....unsecure? 

Sure...you may think, well I haven't been getting into trouble or doing anything evil. But you see that's the misconception! He's sneaky and he only has one agenda....to steal, kill and destroy. To keep you as far away as possible from God, His love and your purpose. 

Is the devil distracting you? Keeping you from things of God using people, social media, music, videos? And before you know it you are drifting away? We MUST keep our doors locked and keep the devil out. Fill your thoughts and your mind with thoughts of God, act like Jesus....think like Jesus.

It must be easier to just quit...right?!? Isn't that why so many people quit before they actually reach their goals or achieve their dreams? Sure, quitting may be or feel easier at the time, especially when friends and family around you are giving you reasons to help justify why quitting would be okay.  But....

getting older and realizing that you walked away from your dreams...your passion...your joy does not feel good in the end. It's so much more rewarding to push through the tough times and ignore all the negative voices in your head. That moment when everything finally comes together, when everything you've been working for and waiting for actually happens and your standing there all alone in your purpose with tears of joy streaming down your face. 

Don't quit. Don't sell yourself short. Stand strong in your faith and grow thru the pressure. You are a daughter of the most high.

It's time to tame your tongue.  Our words hold such power, scripture says that our words can speak life or death. Yikes! I don't know about you...but I don't have any desire to speak death. Words of death are negative words, and sometimes we speak them over ourselves and/or over others.

Together let's begin to start becoming more mindful of the words we speak to ourselves and others as we learn the true power behind the words we speak everyday. We can create life with joy or destroy life with misery.

God uses everything, anything and anyone to speak to us....to teach us, to help us. The challenge is that we get so wrapped up and distracted with wordly things, we miss His still small voice.

It's the day to day things He uses to give us direction, clarity, understanding and hope. Simple things, like having my car's lights set to auto so whenever it's dark they automactially turn on. God was reminding me that He never leaves me, even in the darkest places, He is there...on auto pilot.

Today was a challenging day. All day I kept having to pick myself back up from the gloomy state of mind I kept finding myself in. And honestly, it was exhausting. However, I did give myself some credit because at least I was able to identify each time I was drifting off. Today was about hope and encouragement. 

Hope is critical to the human experience. Hope is what keeps us going...it keeps us focused on the good things ahead vs the darkness or turmoil we may be facing. Hope is what keeps us looking forward to a better day, a better future. We must have hope. You can go days without water and weeks without food....but you won't last long without hope. Hope keeps your Spirit alive. What brings you hope?
