Girly Mags

Time for some action from the days of tight t-shirts, peasant tops, boot-cut pants and the indie rock renaissance. It’s J-14 August 2004 and Girly Mags is coming at you with some band break-ups, LiLo, and Eminem’s stitches, along with your regular dose of horrifying teen moments and clarifying quizzes.

The hits keep coming with 2021: 2020 Part Two with more reverb. Covid is still keeping us apart, plus we suffered a very close personal loss in the Girly Mags family (Thank you to everyone in the Girly Mags community who reached out). As a result, we weren’t recording for a while, but we could never stay away for long and a new episode is in the works. In the meantime, we got another Patreon episode for your aural pleasure.

Strap on those blades and whiz back to May 1994 with this issue of ‘Teen Magazine. This episode has it all: bikini bullshit, teen dances, mortifying moments, female condoms, nostalgic tunes and, as usual, LAUGHS. Lots of ‘em.

Sorry, we’re late to the party, but we have delivered a massive batch of audio jungle juice! This week we’re all about Seventeen’s February 2001 issue, but also Girly Mags is back with another edition of Grisly Mags, covering the Ashton Kutcher adjacent Hollywood Ripper murders. Trigger warning: if you’re not into true crime, you can skip from about 12:27-46:45 and just get your regular dose of Girly Mags teen traumas and dramas!

COVID knocked us down, but we got up again… barely. It’s a new episode of Girly Mags taking you back to November 1997 with YM, and we got all your classic hits: Sharting, cat piss, zitty make-outs, and some of the biggest jams of the late ‘90s.
