Full Hour | Today, Dom led off the Dom Giordano Program by offering up his word of the day, ‘whining,’ telling of an interview that Gisele Fetterman gave KDKA about a recent interview her husband gave to NBC, which prompted a conversation about the candidates health. Fetterman calls for some training for NBC staffers after the incident, which annoys Dom, because he finds Fetterman’s health to be pertinent for voters, allowing them to decide whether he’ll be able to make decisions while serving in Washington, D.C. Then, Dom announces the side question of the day, asking listeners to give them something or somebody related to Russia, tying it to the anniversary of Alaska joining the United States. After that, Dom tells that longtime Philadelphia food critic Craig LaBan has announced that he’ll stop rating restaurants with his Liberty Bell rating system, telling that Coronavirus has created such a dynamic environment in restaurants giving customers different experiences based on staffing and supply shortages.
Then, Dom welcomes legendary Philadelphia sports analyst Ray Didinger back onto the Dom Giordano Program to discuss the fantastic camaraderie centered on Philadelphia sports. First, though, Dom asks Ray about a new racehorse powering its way through the racing ranks named ‘Didinger,’ with Ray revealing a huge win by multiple lengths at the Parx Racetrack yesterday. Then, Dom and Didinger jump into a discussion about the miraculous Philadelphia Phillies run in the MLB postseason, explaining what he believes has led to the success we’re seeing, and predicting what to expect moving forward as the team takes on the Padres and hopefully look to the future. Also, Didinger comments on the Eagles success as they continue with their undefeated season, telling what to expect out of the team after they return from their bye week next week.
