NFTs have been dominated by Open editions of all sizes shapes. makes and sources. Over the weekend we saw some major "successes" with 10's of thousands of editions being minted by multiple artists and massive volumes flowing thorough these contracts. The stage speculated on what that means for the future of the NFT space and the current turmoil and stress that it's putting on artist who wonder if they should hop on the trend or hold true to their core values and current collector base.
We were joined today by Jacob Riglin a well known photographer who recently had a viral photo of the departure from the lat burning man festival. His recent efforts have been in the area of a type of generative art using photography. He combines layers from different photos using one photo as a base and via code creates collections that dance between real and surreal environments. Journey is his latest brainchild and will be free to his previous holders.
