Welcome back to the Go First podcast! Today we discuss how to lead oneself through challenging situations. We break down the conversation into three steps: self-awareness, practice, and making a new choice.

Self-awareness involves understanding what is currently happening and having a kind attitude towards oneself. Practice involves leveraging the science of neuroplasticity to form new habits and behaviours outside of the challenging situation. Making a new choice involves recognising that one has potential to behave in different ways and being mindful to choose what will serve oneself, the moment, and the other person.

Today, we're gonna GO FIRST into challenging situations! In this episode I talk about the biology of challenging situations, aka what really goes on under the skin. Why I believe this is important is because when we understand it is not me, it's my beautiful system that operates flawlessly, we can then learn tools how to overcome challenging moments...and grow! I'll start the Go First -ethos podcast by...going first! I thought would be perhaps insightful to share one common theme I've experienced in my life over the last two years. I know from my conversations with friends and clients that I haven't been alone... What is it?! I'm talking about the seasonality of life and how, as Michael A. Singer puts it, life is not always about our personal preference. Tune in, never matter in what season you're in and I hope there's something there that shifts you, even a bit.

Welcome to the first episode of the year where I'll talk about expanding your awareness...

In the episode I talk about the situation when we feel stuck and to move ahead, we'd need a new idea, solution or thought... So where do you go and get that from?!

I'll share my experience of going either within or without - aka finding the solution 'inside' you through eg meditation and working with different brain wave states or then going 'outside' and tapping into the consciousness and energy fields of people that can expand your mind. I personally do both of these and hope that this episode will give you more trust into self: we have tools to figure out a lot more we think we can...we just need to learn how to use the machinery!

Okay...so today I'm going deep and personal, sharing a few insights into what I've been doing over the past month (or actually, a lot longer...) and sharing a few thoughts to help you navigate your life. I'll share how I balance my masculine and feminine energies by NOT uploading another episode when I was 'supposed' to; how I've been escaping my schedule (I created for myself!) and diving into inner work to find 'my answer'.

This episode goes deep and I wonder the role of fear, staying small and how we can find our true north... I also talk about manifestation and how we should value good feelings too, not just the physical manifestation. Oh wow, as you can see there's a lot going on in this episode but I hope it gives you trust and confidence that you're exactly where you're supposed to be on your journey and live is always working our for you.
