With so many new dramas clamoring for Emmy's attention, this year's Best Drama Series race is dividing Gold Derby's editors. Two recent winners are back in play -- "Game of Thrones" and "The Handmaid's Tale" -- as are last year's nominees "The Crown," "Stranger Things," "This Is Us" and "Westworld." But with "Better Call Saul" and "House of Cards" both taking the year off, which freshman series are in contention at the 2018 Emmys?
Watch Gold Derby's Tom O'Neil, Daniel Montgomery and Amanda Spears clash with strong opinions on who'll win the 2018 SAG Awards for film and TV. Also PGA Awards, too. Top contenders: "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri," "Lady Bird," "The Shape of Water," "Get Out."
Following the Critics' Choice and Golden Globes, three films seem to be out front to win Best Picture at the Oscars: "The Shape of Water," "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri" and "Lady Bird." However, might underdog "Get Out" end up taking them all down on Oscar night? Gold Derby's editorial team -- Tom O'Neil, Paul Sheehan, Chris Beachum, Daniel Montgomery, Marcus James Dixon and Joyce Eng -- debates this and other hot topics in our latest Oscar predictions slugfest.
The 2018 Golden Globes will air live on NBC Sunday, January 7, so Gold Derby's editors are scrambling to finalize our predictions. We recently gathered together to welcome our new senior editor Joyce Eng ... and simultaneously wage war against her loony predictions on the TV side. In our video slugfest, Joyce, Tom O'Neil, Paul Sheehan, Chris Beachum, Daniel Montgomery and Marcus James Dixon debate all our television predictions and last-minute changes.
