Gone, But Never Forgotten

Sadly, more and more it seems that there are murders occuring in the world around us when people believe that they know how to outsmart the system and beat the crime.  This week's case is certainly one of those as we look the case of Samantha Wohlford who alleged that she had suffered abuse at the hands of her husband Ernie Lee Ibarra Jr. in the past.  It is unclear whether that abuse had stopped or if things got out of Samantha's control but at the end of the day she was a part of planning a murder and for someone who aspired to be an actress for her entire life she certainly wasn't a very good one.  

On February 19, 1997 Evan Ramsey would hide a shotgun in his pants, take the bus to school and take the lives of one student and the principal of the school. 

On January 29th, 1979 in what was a premeditated attack, Brenda Spencer opened fire on Grover Cleveland Elementary School, which was across the street from her house.  She shot at elementary students, wounding eight of them and adults, killing two and wounding one, without remorse and when she was later questioned as to why she had opened fire on unsuspecting people she said that she didn't like Mondays and that her shooting spree had made the day more interesting.

On November 27th, 2021 a young man who certainly had a rough childhood amd was suffering from some unchecked mental health struggles walked into the washroom at his school and when he walked out he was in posession of a firearm and he had one thing on his mind, death.

On December 6th, 1989 a man would find his way inside of the École Polytechnique, on the campus of The University of Montreal, and he would take the lives of fourteen women and he would also injure ten more women and four men.  

On December 14th, 2012 one of the most disgusting and horrifying acts took place.  Not only was this a school shooting that took place but this was a school shooting that lasted five minutes and took the lives of twenty-six people, twenty of those being children in grade one, between the ages of six and seven.  

Starting in June of 1987 and extending to September of 1988 Delaware faced their first, and still only, serial killer.  Stephen Pennell seemingly just snapped and started to take his frustrations out by kidnapping, torturing and murdering young women.

On February 13th, 2017 Abby Williams and Libby German took advantage of a warmer than seasonal day and decided to go for a hike at the Monon High Bridge in Delphi, Indiana.  When the girls were supposed to be picked up though they were nowhere to be found and a day later their bodies were found 800 metres (half a mile) away from the bridge.  There was not an arrest made in the case until five years later in October of 2022.

March 16th, 2012 started just like every day in the life of young Sierra LaMar as she woke up and prepared for her school day.  Sierra left home aroun 7:15am to walk to her bus stop but she never made it to school that day.  A man would eventually be arrested in the disappearance and murder of Sierra but a body still, to this day, had yet to be found.

On September 18th, 2014 Don Stewart made a 911 call that was chilling and downright horrifying because he was calm, cool and collected as he relayes the fact that he had murdered his daughter and his six grandchildren and that he intended to turn the gun upon himself when the authorities arrived.  Don Stewart had a long history, as did much of his family, of breaking the law but this story is heart-breaking and the fact that six people had their lives ended at the hands of someone that was family makes it even more difficult to understand.
