Look, I GET IT. Everyone is super hot for meditation right now, and they're not wrong! But if you're like me, when people are really into something, it oddly deters you from trying it, instead of attracting you. LOL I can be stubborn.
Regardless! I believe that if you REALLY understand what meditation is used for, and know how to think about it IN THE RIGHT way (instead of expecting yourself to transform into a monk in Tibet 🧘🏻♀️) you'll fall in love with it, and you'll realize how powerful it really is in helping you with your mood.

Today I was on my morning walk, and it occured to me that while good nutritional habits can NEVER be replaced, they don't always have the magic touch when it comes to soothing anxiety in the heat of the moment. But, there specific things you can do when you feel the tension rise that will help calm the waves of tension and bring you back into a calmer state.
This video highlights 3 specific things I do when I am starting to feel anxiety creeping in. I have honed these over the course of years of my own anxiety, and years of working with my clients in a private setting, so you can be sure they will serve you well too. And the best part? They are all $0, take absolutely no planning or preparation, and anyone can do them :).

It's definitely not Halloween but I'm about to scare you 👻, or at least I HOPE this scares you... These days, the average western person consumes 160 lbs of sugar a year 🍪🍰🍭🍦🍩🍫🍧🍬.
WTF?! Can you picture all that sugar? What do you think that would look like in your living room? And we wonder why our mental health is suffering so much... (condescending eye roll 👀).
In today's show, we're diving into Part 2 of BAD MOOD FOODS, and we're going to talk all about White Sugar and Sweeteners, (a.k.a. "The White Death") and the detrimental effects both have on your mood and your overall health.
I know you may want to close this email and pretend sugar's not bad for you, but please don't! Trust me on this! Sugary sweet foods might be some of your favorites, and may even have lots of emotional ties for you - cause they did for me - buuut sugar is WRECKING 🎳 your mood, I guarantee it. Hi everyone! Today we’re talking about all those Bad Mood Foods, all the foods that are not only NOT helping you in your quest for good mood magic, in fact, they’re hurting you. I know what you’re thinking...
A lot of these foods are considered fun, indulgent, and to be honest, they might be acting as your security blanket these days if you’re really in the pits of anxiety. I've been there, so I definitely feel for you. But food doesn't have to be toxic to be indulgent and hold good memories!
Join me today as we dive into the reasoning behind my request for you to completely avoid certain 'Bad Mood Foods', because I know FOR A FACT that when you understand WHY you should do something, beyond the simple ‘it’s good for you’, you'll have a lot more brain power to resist when you’re staring the next old fashioned donut in the face (a personal favorite).

We all have heard of protein. Foods like chicken, beef, eggs, bison, venison, turkey, salmon, mackerel, and cheese contain lots of protein. We pretty much all understand that protein is important in building muscle, and I feel like that’s about where it ends. If you’re looking for some gainz, eat 17 chicken breasts for dinner and you should be good. Right?
While that’s an obvious exaggeration, the role of protein is actually much broader than that, and it’s important we all understand it cause the lack of protein in your diet, and your lack of a complete understanding for protein’s role in your body is very literally effecting your mood.

Stepping away from the nutrition and the science-y stuff for a minute, I'm here today to tell you that if you are in a place physcially, mentally, or emotionally that you're not happy about, this video will outline exactly what I think you should do before you do ANYTHING ELSE. When you finally embrace this concept, your life will change, and you’ll look back realizing that THAT was the moment where things finally started to change. It’s definitely a floodgate-opening, lightbulb moment for a lot of people, and so I am particularly excited to hear what you think about this one, and even more excited to see how things shift for you once you open up to this stuff.
The subject for today is: Taking responsibility for your health & wellbeing.
Or actually I should say, taking 100%, blind responsibility for everything, from here on out.
Not an eenie-meenie-miny-mo type of responsibility. Not a, 'today I’m feeling secure enough in my self-worth' responsibility, but a FULL ON, SURRENDER, accept it all, give in type of responsibility. I’m responsible for myself. I am sovereign. And so, I am also in control.

Now, tell me. Are you tired of hearing all the things that you SHOULDN'T be eating to support your anxiety? I know, me too. I honestly feel like the culture of cutting foods out is getting a little overwhelming, even if it is necessary...
