We all have heard of protein. Foods like chicken, beef, eggs, bison, venison, turkey, salmon, mackerel, and cheese contain lots of protein. We pretty much all understand that protein is important in building muscle, and I feel like that’s about where it ends. If you’re looking for some gainz, eat 17 chicken breasts for dinner and you should be good. Right?
While that’s an obvious exaggeration, the role of protein is actually much broader than that, and it’s important we all understand it cause the lack of protein in your diet, and your lack of a complete understanding for protein’s role in your body is very literally effecting your mood.
In this show, I dive into some scary statistics about mental health in our country, and I share what I believe to be one of the major causes: Protein deficiency. Watch or listen to this episode if you want to learn the basics of protein, how much you should be having and from what sources, protein's relationship to neurotransmitters, and how this ALL is impacting your mood today.
Please watch and enjoy! If you loved this episode and if you're feeling generous, I would LOVE IT if you gave me a 5-STAR REVIEW, and/or shared it with a friend who needs to hear it. It would mean the world.
