My guest this week is Pat Schwiebert, of Grief Watch in Portland, Oregon. Pat has been working in the area of bereavement for over40 years as a nurse, educator and counselor. She co-founded a number of support groups in the Portland area and was an early pioneer in providing home hospice care for AIDS patients in the 1970’s. She is the author of 8 books about grief and says her best teachers were those who were grieving the loss of special people in their lives and invited her to walk along side them in their sorrow.
