2018 is over and we take a tiny look back on some highlights from this year for us, as well as how we are looking to change and adapt the show! T talks about learning to "get good", Al highlights one of her favorite imprints putting out comics, and we fondly remember when we only ironically liked Life is Strange.

Tell us on Twitter or email what your favorite comic book/gaming experience was of the year and maybe we can cover it in the future!

Next week we will be reading and talking about Assassinistas which we briefly mention on this episode, and it rules!

May 2019 be dope*

It's been a long time coming, but this week the dynamic duo bring it home with the fifth and final episode of Life is Strange (for now that is). Listen in as we gossip about how are girls plan to save (or not save) the town, we spill the tea on Warren's place as a romantic possibility, and T is UNDONE by a choice by the game makers in the latter half. We also talk about some listener submissions about LIS and give our wrapped up thoughts for this game that stole our hearts and minds this year. Life is.....

Hella sick.

Happy Holigays Yall!

This week Al and T are back in the mean, neon streets of Nova Honda for volume 2 of Motor Crush! We love love loovvvvveed volume one, but will the second volume be just as good?.... yes. We talk about more babes on bikes, dads rockin those salmon shorts, and TFW your mind slowly slips between dimensions and realities. Did we mention babes on bikes?!

Oh boy, this week Al and T read Toe Tag Riot, a book about punk zombies, what could possibly go wrong? We discuss are complicated feelings on "punk" in media, the simple joy that is Teddy Mercury, and we ask the age old question... Why is "Andy, The Drummer of Fall Out Boy" in this so much?

This week Al and T take a trip through a very peculiar house as they uncover a family's personal history and secrets in What Remains of Edith Finch. Listen as we play the worlds most acrobatic pregnant lady, daydream at our fish decapitation job, and flop a shark down a mountain into the sea. A very interesting game that is a lot to digest at once, but we get there (kinda).

On a Hallow's Eve night, when the air is chilled with fright, two friends read a comic that is a spooky, ooky delight! This week we talk about the comic (recently turned Netflix original series) Chilling Adventures of Sabrina in witch we follow a girl named Sabrina and her destiny to become a full witch... or perhap not?! We talk about the absolutely brutal fate that Madam Satan bestows on her "enemies", the bold fashion choice of having skulls for eyes, and this teen witch's seemingly completely neutral moral compass.

This week we play the spiritual successor to Limbo in the moody puzzle game Inside! We play the portion of the game that is available for free before they as you to buy the game, which you might end up doing by accident like T if your thumb is in the wrongs place. T complains about sketchy purchasing practices for the game, we find that sweet spot between being shot and drowning in a dark lake, and we praise the inclusion of some of the best little (and we do mean tiny) animals we've encountered in a game yet!

This week we do a spotlight feature on the first issue of the new run of Umbrella Academy by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá. Being the first time we have talked about Umbrella Academy on the show we go on for a bit about what made the first two runs so special, and why we are so hyped to see where it goes. We talk about Gerard's voice when it comes to comics, the density of information and world building found throughout, and do our best to bring someone up to speed for this new issue. Oh... and we talk about the issue itself eventually!

It's getting real, y'all. This week we play (or more accurately watch people play) the third episode of Life is Strange, and oh boy things are getting interesting. We find out our school's bully is really into Gundam, come to terms with our problematic fav Chloe, and the GAY tension gets VERY TENSE! (KISS OR NO KISS?!?!)

Also here are the let's play's we watched, and yes we should just play the game if we want the story done our way, but some of their choices were like.... come on... really....
