Last time, we saw John weeping. If no one being worthy to take the scroll would spark such emotion, then the taking of the scroll would produce praise- The worship chorus crescendos through the rest of this chapter, and we're going to see three circles of praise in heaven.

For Easter, we're continuing the Apostles' Creed on the most important point of Christianity. While the burial of Christ marks the death of sin, His resurrection from the grave marks new life in Him. Between Friday and Sunday is also His descent into hell, so let's examine both of these points today.

Have you ever asked yourself why we call this day good Friday- in an ironic twist, Christians have come to see the darkest moment in human history as its brightest. The result of Christ's suffering is our redemption- Let's consider why this part of the Apostles' Creed describes what we would call -Good Friday.-

What does the birth of Jesus teach us- The Apostles' Creed represented the summation of what the early church saw in Scripture concerning the person of Christ. The Bible presents Jesus Christ as fully God and entirely man, so the Apostles' Creed says He -was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary.- Let's examine what that means together.

Who is Jesus Christ- Many Christians want to avoid theology, but there is no way to answer this question without using doctrine. The Apostles' Creed helps to supply us with the biblical terminology we need to answer such questions.

Shouldn't a church committed to teaching the Bible only use the King James Version- We occasionally receive a question along these lines, and it's an important one to answer. If we are going to study our Lord Jesus Christ, we need to know that the Bible we're using is reliable. Today, we study whether the Lord has told us to use a specific English translation and commanded us to avoid modern versions.

Why is there paperwork in heaven, and what does it contain- We'll see a scroll that no one is worthy to open except the Son, and then we'll see why He's worthy.
