This week, Chris & Jaimie unpack the unmeasured emotional response that first responders can have in their homes. Titled the Dragon Brain - inspired by JB Van Cleave's book PTSDragon: Post Threat Survival Dragon. This episode reveals the consequences of high stress professionals that involve life-and-death decisions. Unfortunately, first responders' brains don't immediately shut off when they go home. When there is disorder, chaos, or conflict in the home, the dragon rears it fire breathing head and hijacks the first responder response. Chris & Jaimie offer up what they have done to tame the dragon and improve relationships.

This week, Chris & Jaimie discuss the consequences of weeds in our marriages. A weed starts as an unnoticed seed, but quickly becomes a problem when it chokes out the produce or flowers in our gardens. The same is true in marriage. Small things can turn into big problems. This week, Chris and Jaimie talk about lowering our expectations in marriage and life. Sometimes, we build up an event so big that it is almost impossible to meet our expectations. Instead, we should exercise the disciplines of dating and communication, knowing that it may not go perfectly. Be patient with the process. Consistently date your spouse. Consistently exercise good communication skills and the dynamite dates and break through conversations will happen.
