What we tend to get caught up in during the Christmas season is actually just a shadow. The lights, the presents, the family reunions -- these are all good things, but they're just a shadow of what our hearts really long for. In this series, we talk about the substance behind the shadow.

Advent means "the arrival of someone long awaited", but how long exactly? How long did humanity wait for THE advent? And what were the specifics of Who they were waiting for? Do the prophecies in the Old Testament dating 4,000 years before Jesus really point to Him as the Messiah? How can we be sure? You've probably heard this before: "Judge not, lest you be judged." It's America's favorite verse. People will quote it when it's the only verse they know in the Bible (whether they are Christians or not). But what did Jesus mean by that? Did He mean that we can't call people out on stuff? We can't correct? We can't talk about sin? If He didn't mean that and we are supposed to "judge", who are we supposed to judge and how?
