March 03, 2022 Behind Russia’s Attack on Ukraine
Russia's military intervention in and bombing of Ukraine has been condemned the world over. Calls are mounting for Russia to immediately withdraw its military from Ukraine and for all parties to return to diplomacy to de-escalate and resolve the crisis.
However, the conflict cannot be understood outside the relentless drive by the United States and its Western allies to expand NATO up to Russia’s border and encircle it militarily.

A new Change.org petition to the Australian government to delist the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) as terrorist has been initiated by the Federation of Democratic Kurdish Society - Australia. Peter Boyle spoke to Fionn Skiotis, a Melbourne-based activist and the Co-Chair of North and East Syria Solidarity (NESS), one of the solidarity groups promoting the petition campaign.

November 18, 2021 COP26: A Left Response
COP26, the United Nations Climate Change conference, aims to get country pledges to rapidly reduce carbon and methane emissions in the next 10 years.
The Paris Agreement, signed in 2015, committed countries to try to stop warming at 1.5C — but it didn’t commit them to take any specific action when it came to emissions. Australia’s PM Scott Morrison has gone to Glasgow to see what he can do to water down the targets needed. He is only prepared to talk about 2050 targets, not targets for 2030.
Join the discussion for a left response to the aftermath of COP26 and the type of measures that are needed to address the Climate Crisis.
