The trees with the strongest root systems are not those where a breeze blows gently through the leaves. No, the strongest trees face challenging winds which cause their root systems to grow deeper. Could it be that God is revealing a lesson about how winds of adversity affect our spiritual roots? Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie helps us see what’s happening when trials and tribulations are blowing against us. We’ll learn how to embrace the growth, and find joy in the journey.

Ever had your car break down out in the middle of nowhere . . . scorching heat . . . no cell service . . . no other cars to stop and help . . . no friendly, little farmhouse beckoning you in the distance? Crisis compounded by solitude. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out, we never have to face our challenges by ourselves. Many people ask one question when tragedy strikes. It’s the one-word question that reverberates in our very soul: “why?” Why did this have to happen? Maybe you’ve asked that question, or maybe you’ve tried to answer that question. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie addresses that challenge head on. When earthly answers don’t satisfy, we have to look to what God tells us in His Word. Truth that speaks to the heart.

There are “signs of the times” all around, yet we don’t talk about prophecy enough. In this message, Pastor Greg Laurie and Bible prophecy expert, Joel Rosenberg, give some needed insight.
Notes:
Focuse verses - John 14, Matthew 24
All around us are signs of the times telling us Jesus is coming.
Read John 14:1–3
Jesus has prepared a place for us, and He is coming for us.
Jesus said, “When you see these things begin to happen, look up!”
Luke 21:28
The teaching of the Rapture was given almost 2,000 years ago by Jesus on the Mount of Olives.
The disciples asked Jesus,
“What will be the sign of your coming?”
Matthew 24:3
The signs of the times mentioned in Matthew 24 are to alert us to His coming.
Read Matthew 24:3–15
Jesus wants us to understand this and other passages about prophecy.
It’s not God’s desire to conceal, but to reveal.
#1 The Tribulation period begins with the emergence of Antichrist.
Matthew 24:5
Christians will not be present for the Great Tribulation.
The Church is the restraining force in the world today.
#2 The Tribulation period ends with the return of Jesus Christ to the earth.
Matthew 24:30
The emergence of Antichrist is close, but the coming of Christ for His Church is even closer.
Read Matthew 24:36–44
Jesus is talking about the Rapture, not the Second Coming.
There are differences between the Rapture and the Second Coming.
At the Rapture, Jesus comes for His people.
At the Second Coming, He returns with His people.
The Rapture is before the Tribulation.
The Second Coming is at the end of it.
#3 What is the Rapture?
Rapture is the English translation of Harpazo which was translated as Raptus in the Latin translation. It means to take forcibly, to snatch, or to be caught up.
#4 Why is there a Rapture?
1 Thessalonians 4:13
Christians do not grieve hopelessly but hopefully.
Jesus said, “And behold, I am coming quickly,”
Revelation 22:12 (NKJV)
When Jesus comes again, it will be fast and without warning.
The return of Jesus is imminent.

Once upon a time, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" was a beloved fairy tale about kindness, virtue, and beauty. Now? Well, it seems Snow White has gone on a journey—not through the forest—but straight into the wilderness of wokeness.
Has Disney completely lost the plot? Can they find their way back to the vision of Walt Disney himself—a man who once said, "In these days of world tensions, when the faith of men is being tested as never before, I am personally thankful that my parents taught me at a very early age to have a strong personal belief and reliance in the power of prayer for Divine inspiration."
Imagine that. The man who built the magic kingdom, relying on divine inspiration.
Here's Pastor Greg Laurie's full review on the new woke Snow White.

It frankly would be hard to list all the things Jesus has done for us. The top of the list would be that He loved us enough to die for us. So here’s the question. If we love Jesus, what are we willing to do for Him? If He died for us, are we willing to live for Him? Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie takes us to the Gospel of John for an important look at a well-known miracle. As we examine this account, we learn a lot about how Jesus wants us to live for Him and speak about Him.

Our God can calm storms, create storms, part the waters of the Red Sea. He can make time literally stand still, He can raise the dead, and cause the deaf to hear. So what is it that you need today? Glad you’re along for A NEW BEGINNING as Pastor Greg Laurie helps us see nothing is impossible for the Lord. And He invites us to come to Him in prayer. He bids us to “ask, seek, and knock.” And when our petitions intersect with His willingness, big things can happen!

Sometimes, we treat prayer as a last resort. In reality, it’s our best option. And sometimes it’s our only option. So many of us could testify to the power of prayer, and even tell a story of how God came through just in the nick of time. So why aren’t we calling on God more often? And why don’t we let Him use us to step out boldly for Him? We’ll consider those questions today on A NEW BEGINNING as Pastor Greg Laurie helps us examine the feeding of the 5,000 in John chapter 6.

How many of us are up in the wee hours of the morning worrying if the sun will rise? Didn’t it rise yesterday? And the day before? Has it not risen every day in all of human history? When something has been that reliable in the past, we can trust it will be reliable in the future. Well today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie helps us pause and consider the faithfulness and reliability of the Lord. In addition to making the sun rise each morning, we’ll see just how well God takes care of His own.
