If you were a terminally ill patient, would you like to have autonomy over how, where, and when to transition?
Today, Dr. Pablo Stewart joins us to discuss a slightly different and super interesting topic: medical aid in dying. Dr. Pablo is a Psychiatrist at the renowned Queen's Medical Center who believes top-quality healthcare is a right, not a privilege. He is also a Clinical Professor and Psychiatrist at JABSOM, and he served in the Marines for five years as an infantry officer.

We discuss the autonomy and dignity the procedure grants to terminally ill patients and the possibility it gives them and their families to celebrate life.
Additionally, Dr. Pablo talks about the death parties we witnessed throughout his career, why he believes end-of-life care provides dignity and peace of mind to the patients who opt for it, and more.

Are you open to getting yourself out of the muck of grief and rebuilding your life after tragedy?
In this episode, I'm joined by the inspiring Dave Roberts, who joins us to share his infinite wisdom about grief, loss, and, most importantly, how to open ourselves to embrace and deal with our new reality after experiencing a heavy loss. Dave is an Adjunct Professor of Psychology Child-Life at Utica University, a Featured Speaker, Workshop Presenter, and Coach for Aspire Place. He also co-authored "When The Psychology Professor Met The Minister" and is the Host of The Teaching Journeys Podcast. Dave is no stranger to grief and loss; since he was a child, he went through multiple traumatic experiences, yet life reserved its toughest challenge for Dave's adulthood when he lost his 18-year-old daughter Jeannine to cancer in 2003.
We had a wonderful conversation about the powerful concept of simply allowing life to happen and allowing ourselves to seek and find happiness as one of the many resources to deal with monumental loss. Dave left dozens of valuable tips on grief recovery, optimism, the massive power of kindness, and using love to bring people together.
Dave also talks about how grief and loss help us define meaning, the hard-hitting lessons the loss of his daughter taught him, his work as a bereavement counselor, and much more.
