Forbes 30 Under 30 - Youths Solving Real Problem
I speak to the co-founders of Eezee, a Singapore-based B2B marketplace for buyers and business to access a wide range of brands and products.
These two youths focused on solving real problems, instead of joining flashy industries that were seemingly more fun and exciting. However, for them to achieve such a feat, they went through many ups and downs. They shared their marketing strategy and what they felt they did right but...

Forbes 30 Under 30 - Vogue Photographer Goes 3D
Shavonne Wong is the cofounder of Singapore-based photography studio Zhiffy Photography. Her portfolio is impressive. Besides working with brands like Sephora, Lancôme and HBO, she has been a recurring guest photographer for Asia's Next Top Model.
However, today in this podcast, I asked her what she would do if she were to lose it all - her portfolio and her connection and network built over the years.
Shavonne embodies perseverance in her answer, paving a path for aspiring photographers to follow should they wish to pursue their dreams.

Forbes 30 Under 30 - McDonald, P&G, Unilever
Speaking with Benjamin Ang from Genesis TV, we bonded over our shared experience where people would comment on our age, be it in a positive or negative light.
You see, Benjamin started his company at the tender age of just 24 with no connections, no experience and no portfolio. He decided to start up a company straight out of school, forgoing his plans to get a degree. As a young entrepreneur, it's amazing to hear his journey on how he worked his way up to today, where has experienced working with big brands like Mcdonalds, P&G and Unilever.

Forbes 30 Under 30 - Needs, People, Culture
In this episode, I had the privilege of speaking to Jonathan Savoir, the cofounder of Quincus.
Jonathan approached his business with the mindset of trying to make things easier for other businesses, and what Quincus does is help logistics companies increase their efficiency with integrated supply chain management platforms. They do this with the help of natural language processing and machine learning, and it was fascinating to hear him speak about his journey.

Travel Revenge - What is that?
In this episode, I'm speaking with Tim Hentschel, CEO and co-founder of HotelPlanner.
As a veteran in the tourism industry, I wanted to pick his brain and find out what he thought was in store for the future of the tourism industry, especially when it had been so negatively affected by the coronavirus.
During our chat, "Travel Revenge" was brought up. It's a phenomenon where a sudden surge in travel plans are to be expected when travelling restrictions ease up in response to the fact that travellers were restricted from travelling for a prolonged period of time. While this may spell good news for the hospitality and tourism industry, I wondered if there was more that could be done to ensure companies could tide over these harsh times and Tim seems like just the person to do that.

Welcome to my new series - Forbes 30 Under 30, where I reach out to people on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list and chat with them about the journey.
Today, I have a very special guest, Yi Ming Ng, who has agreed to have this interview with me.
For those of you who might not be aware, Yi Ming Ng is actually one of the cofounders and managing partners of Tribe Accelerator. They are one of the first blockchain accelerators supported by the Singaporean government and has actually raised more than $30 million since their launch in 2018!
However, behind every successful endeavour lies a rough and tumultuous journey that the founders have had to endure and push on to finally reach where they are now, and today I speak to Yi Ming Ng to probe his mind and share his experience.

080: You Are Too Young!
😒 You are too young 😒
Have you ever heard this statement from people whenever you tell them what you want to achieve?
Or even if you revealed your achievements, only to have your age overshadow your efforts?
I used to hear that a lot too and honestly, it got to me a bit. I even started believing some of them when they told me that I was too young to do this or too young to try that... 😕
So, I thought to myself...
🧐 What can I do to increase my credibility without, you know, getting old and waiting ten years later? 🧐
And I think I finally figured it out 👉🏻 Personal Branding

079: You Will Be Broke If You Are Boring
What do I mean by boring?
😒 It's when you NEVER take a stand 😒
When you never take a stand, you won't ever end up offending anyone. You're safe. Everybody is neutral with you but...
nobody likes or loves you.
That's the thing about being boring and not having polarity.
Don't be afraid to have opinions, in business and in your personal life.
It's always better to have haters and fans, than to have no fans at all 😉

078: Why Most Business Fail When They First Started Online Marketing
Is this you...? 👇🏻
You create an ads manager. 💻
You select the boost function. 📈
You select your target audience. 👨🏻💼
You allocate some budget 💸
You see likes, engagement and comments. 💛
You THINK your Facebook Ads worked! 😌
I'm sorry to burst your bubble but this is why most businesses fail 😕
There are people who simply scroll and like everything they see. Do you have a friend like that? Because I do, and Facebook Ads love people like them because they boost your post to these people and make you believe that your ads work.
They are low-quality leads. In the podcast, I talk about what you should do instead. 💡

077: Why I Don’t Work In The Office
Work from home is a norm for us.
For obvious reasons, working from home helps me save costs. Office spaces in Singapore can be expensive. 💸
But, why I am a strong advocate of working from home is because I hire creatives and millennials.
We all know millennials have their own way of thinking. Their generation is independent and have their own ideals. Forcing them into a 9-5 job in a boring office space stunts their creativity.
I don't want that. ❌
For creatives, idea pops in anytime, anywhere and I don't want them to keep it in until they've reached the office. If they feel the inspiration come on, I want to give them the freedom to act on it immediately.
The productivity has never been an issue for me or my staff.
Moreover, it's no point keeping them in the office if they've finished their work. Some people come to the office everyday but don't get much work done anyways 🤷🏻♂️
