066: Creating Winning Facebook Ads In 2020

I've been running an agency for four years now and I have invested my fair share of cash into Facebook ads.

Did it always work for me? Not really 😅

But I've picked up a lot of strategies along my four years and one thing you have to understand is you have cold, warm and hot traffic.

🔵 Cold traffic are people who don't know about you and don't know that they have a problem.

It's your job to open their eyes to what kind of problem they have first. That should be the point of your ad.

🟡 Warm traffic are people who know they have a problem, but don't know who to go to for help.

Your ads should then be talking about how you can help.

🔴 Finally, hot traffic are people who know they have a problem and know that you are the solution to their problem.

Your ads should then be making it easy for them to approach you and purchase your service/product.

Create your ads based on which temperature traffic you're targeting. It's best to have three different kinds to target all of them. 🚦

Also, you've got to work on your personal branding.

People buy from people, not brands. Kim Kardashian can sell out anything she puts out, as long as she tells everyone that she is the owner of the brand. Build a brand around yourself and you can sell anything.

065: Why You Need A Value Ladder?

The Value Ladder is actually a concept introduced by Russell Brunson, the founder of ClickFunnels. The Value Ladder essentially considers the identity shift of your customers. For example, when you sell a bible, you don't target Christians because they already have their own. You target people who are considering of taking up or converting to Christianity.

Your Value Ladder has to help people make the identity shift. So, if you're selling a bible, you could give some value-added content about what being a Christian entails so that people might be more inclined to take up Christianity and become YOUR target audience.

064: 4 Mins For The Next 40 Years

I've hosted many seminars and have been a coach to many aspiring entrepreneurs - young or old. This episode is, unfortunately, going to be a rant about the many students who have come to me for help.

There's a common point about them all that gets me frustrated and it's their inability to stick to their goals. Most of these people have brilliant minds. They have big ideas and come to me, telling me that they're willing to do whatever it takes to make their dreams come true. I pour all the knowledge I have learned into them to help them.

I call them a week later and they have lost all momentum and drive. Why? They simply didn't put in the effort to start. It's really easy to be inspired and aspire to do something but actually putting work into something is different.

Take 4 minutes off today and do something, so that you can secure your next 40 years. I promise you, it's worth it.

063: How I Create My Personal Brand In 2 Years

Personal branding is important to me. I recognise it as the catalyst to being successful for any business you want to launch and so I worked towards it around 2016.

The way I did it was to offer my knowledge and give value for free. It's not difficult for me to meet people and try to sell them things, but if I were to have a following, it would save so much time.

Eventually, I got invited to host seminars then business consultations and finally to big-scale events. By then, my personal brand was growing and people knew me as a growth strategist.

062: Online Personal Branding For Newbies

If you're planning to listen to this podcast, it means that you know the importance of personal branding. Congratulations. This means that you are already one step ahead of everyone else. There are 3 points to a successful personal brand.

Personal branding is literally the magic solution to being successful in your business, and I say this with confidence. Did you know it is proven that content shared on a personal account is guaranteed to have a higher conversion rate than the same content shared on a company account? In this digital world, people are the most connected but disconnected they’ve ever been, so they crave connection. And it’s really difficult to feel connected and loyalty towards a brand that they just see as a corporation. Therefore, I've come up with 3 quick tips that will help you build your personal branding online.

It’s time you re-evaluated your personal branding

    Position your brand

Pick a market you want to be known for. Nobody is an expert at everything. If you’re the Jack of all trades, you’re also the master of none and nobody will look towards a person who is mediocre at everything when they need help. They will go to the most qualified and wise person in that specific field.

Go in-depth. Sure, you’re in the finance market but there are many aspects to it. Are you doing insurance? Insurance itself, is also very broad. Go deeper. Let’s say you position yourself as an insurance agent who specialises in plans ONLY for pregnancies and infants. See how that just adds to your credibility and knowledge in this subject matter? 🎓

They say, the best restaurant serves only ONE dish.

Start planning and putting out content

The number one excuse for most people is that they don’t know what content to put out. To that, I only have one simple advice - look around you

We’re living in a digital world. Content is being put out every single day. Just look online and study what other people are doing.

    But Wilson… isn’t this stealing?

It is… if you just put out the same content. Make it 1% better. Add your own personality, thoughts and opinions to it. You see, nothing is ever 100% original now. Content is always built on other content.

Build your own content on other people’s content.

    Create a system

It’s going to be difficult to put out consistent content…unless you create a system. In the world of social media, you are always forgettable and replaceable. The only way to stay relevant is to keep posting. Keep appearing in people’s feeds!

A system will save you time and allow you to embark on other endeavours.

Your biggest asset is yourself. Start using it and create your personal branding online. Use these 3 quick tips and I guarantee your reach will widen.

061: Online Personal Branding For Newbies

If you're interested in listening to this, it means that you know the importance of personal branding. Great! You are already one step ahead of others.

There are three points that you have to understand when establishing your personal brand.

The first point is to find a positioning. When you go out and introduce yourself on the internet, you have to have something in mind. Are you a magician? Are you an insurance agent? Before you brand yourself, find your identity. The Japanese concept called "Ikigai" is good for that.

Next, you've got to understand The Blue Ocean concept. We are all fishing in the same ocean; fighting for customers in the same industry. Remove yourself from the competition and go niche. Make yourself an expert that only provides one thing and make sure you're damn good at it. When you're the best of the best in a niche field, people will go to you.

Finally, you can create a system to create content. One piece of content can be transformed into many shorter forms of content. A video can be turned into a gif or a screenshot. Export the audio separately and you've got a podcast!

  • 060: What If Your Content Marketing Doesn't Work

060: What If Your Content Marketing Doesn't Work

I have had many people tell me that content marketing doesn't work but the question I always reflect back to them is "how long have you been doing content marketing?"

You see, content marketing takes years of dedication and engagement before you successfully build a brand for yourself. I remember my first few videos were only viewed by my parents and my friends. I would not have imagined that I would reach this point.

059: They Say Content Marketing Is Expensive

People tell me that content marketing is expensive. I understand that. For those of you that want to create content marketing, especially video, you are thinking about all the equipment you need and all the manpower you might need to hire. But really, those are just excuses.

You see, you don't need expensive equipment to create good content. Podcast? Use your phone. Video? Use your phone. The beauty of content marketing is that, as long as you optimise it right, your content will reach people.

  • 058: Why Are Marketers Creating So Much Social Media Content Now?

058: Why Are Marketers Creating So Much Social Media Content Now?

Feeling overwhelmed by the large amount of content that marketers are putting out? You should… especially if you have not started. The demand for content is always growing, but there is a limit to how much social media platforms can provide. When we pay for advertising, we take up an ad space, but there are limited ad spaces.

What happens when the demand for it is high?

The price rises, that’s what. That’s a problem for you, especially if you don’t gain much exposure outside of paid ads. That’s why everyone is creating content and building their personal brand.

Personal branding is the key. When you build your personal brand, people get to understand you and relate to you. When that happens, you either get extremely loyal fans or haters who really hate you, but I’d rather that happen, than have a bunch of people who are on the fence about you. That will just make you forgettable.

Start putting yourself out there, unless you want to be at the mercy of ads and the advertising prices. Marketers are already putting so much content out there. So should you.

  • 057: How To Build Your Online Personal Brand Even If.....

057: How To Build Your Online Personal Brand Even if you don't know what to post, camera shy and non-tech savy

Yon’t know how to start building your online personal branding? Don’t fret. Too many worries and ideas are crowding your mind. First, think about what’s stopping you from starting. When there’s a problem, there is always a solution.

If you’re camera-shy, do a written article or even record a podcast first.

The key is to just get started.

Don’t see yourself as an expert?

There are tons of experts online. Study your role models and their content, then model from them and share what you’ve learnt.

Hesitant to post because of your lack of content?

You actually only need ONE long-form content. If you have a video, you can repurpose it many different ways. Snip the video and repost it as shorter excerpts. Make a gif. Take the audio and turn it into a podcast.

    The possibilities are endless!

There is no excuse not to start. Start building your online person branding today.‍
