056: The Fastest Way To Lose To Your Competitors
This is the fastest way to lose your competitors. It's really simple but many people overlook it!
Yup, that’s the trick! You can keep putting out content, putting your own twist on things and sharing your case studies, but all that is worthless if somebody else shows up and starts working on his personal branding.
Insurance companies in Indonesia are huge and have many loyal clients. They’re seen as credible due to their long history. However, this guy started putting out content on his personal account, giving out valuable information about insurance and finance related content. Slowly, he garnered the attention of millennials and the youths, who understood heavy topics with his relatable and simple content.
He branded himself as the go-to guy for millennials who want information on insurance
Right now, he’s the top at personal branding and insurance in Indonesia, just because he knew how to brand himself.
You see, people see corporations as robots. They don’t see the company as an entity that will understand their woes and help them but if they know the guy heading the company and relate to him, they are more likely to open their hearts. And this, is the fastest way to lose your competitors.

055: Not Having Social Media Is Good To Grow Your Business
You do not need a social media account for your business. No, I did not make a typo. You actually do not need that business social media account… if you have an account for yourself
Look at people like Gary Vee.
As the founder of a marketing agency, he puts out consistent content and has even found that a personal account garners more engagement than a company profile. Since he is the founder, he is the face of the company. He sets the tone and branding for the company and does everything a company profile does, except one thing…
With a company profile, it can be difficult to bring your personality into your posts and therefore, it’s harder to get people to relate to you.People want to talk to humans and actually build a connection. They can’t do that with a company, but they can do that with a person - YOU.
Explore personal branding. It is proven to be more effective than branding itself. You don’t need that social media account for your business.

054: What To Do After Running Your Business For 2 Years?
You’ve successfully run your business for more than 2 years, what’s next? Here’s what to do.
Many entrepreneurs make the mistake of just continuing about their operations and hoping things will run smoothly and that MAY work, but it isn’t the most efficient way of doing things.
At the 2 year mark, you would have most probably reached a stage of growth and further growth requires scalability and sustainability. You are just ONE person, you cannot grow with the business because you can only do so many things. Start letting the many departments run autonomously.
To do that, you have to come up with systems and processes and most importantly, hire the right people.
Now that you’ve built a brand, it’s time to build up yourself. You have a story, a struggle and a process. Share that story and establish yourself as an expert. Come up with a messaging that you stand by.
You will attract potential customers who agree and pique the interest of those who don’t
They will take note of your brand and trust the credibility of your brand even more, because it is built from you, the expert that they’re following online.
If you're wondering what to do after running your business for more than 2 years, I've just given you the answer but your next action will determine your continued success or slow downfall.

053: The Ultimate Advice For Marketing Agency Owners
I am a marketing agency owner myself and trust me, I've committed many mistakes and wasted so much time. It's not easy to run a marketing agency but with time and lots of failures, I've learned some pretty important lessons
Many people often ask me, should I go niche or go broad? The answer to that is actually dependant on your circumstance.
If you're young and have time to explore, do try going broad, but if you've been running your agency for a while and are getting on with age, definitely go niche.
Also, it's great to come up with models in your agency. It doesn't have to be anything new but it can be a bundling of offers that you've been offering all this while.
Focus deep in one service, have a specific target audience, have a great offer and great messaging so you can differentiate yourself.

If you’re an entrepreneur, you need to know these 3 lessons. You will run across these 3 lessons sooner or later and if you’re just starting out, I’d rather you learn sooner than fall flat on your face learning it the hard way.
I know this may seem like a no-brainer but I can’t stress this enough. More often than not, entrepreneurs come up with a big idea or a great system and think that that’s the end of it.
Remember that there will always be younger, smarter and someone more hardworking than you. While you’re ahead, you better keep pushing on or they WILL catch up.
You need to be consistent. As I already mentioned, competition is plenty and if you’re not putting yourself and your content out there consistently, you WILL be forgotten.
Yes, you heard me. Put it out for free, especially if it’s valuable. No, I have not gone crazy or made a typo. If you’re constantly putting things out for free, people will start to respect you as an expert.
Start today.
Now that you've heard the 3 lessons that entrepreneurs learn too late, you're already ahead of a lot of people. Make sure not to fall into the same traps that many before you have fallen into and many after you will continue to fall prey to.

This is how you do FB ads… without paying a single dollar. Usually, people love to ask me one question concerning FB marketing - “How much money should I be putting into my marketing budget?” My answer to that is always the same - As much as possible. The reason why I say that is very simple.
Whatever amount you put into marketing should always generate a positive return on investment (ROI). Let’s say you pump in $1 in FB ads. Your ads should generate you $2. You would’ve made a $1 profit. At this point, you can either be happy with the $1 profit… OR put it back into marketing. This time, putting in $2 should garner you a $4 and so on.
Don’t be too concerned about how much you put in. Your question should be “How do I ensure that I will always get a positive ROI?”
Simple. Make sure your offer is irresistible. If your offer is so amazing that nobody would want to miss out on it, your ad will run well. If you don’t wish to do ads, you have to focus on your personal branding. Your greatest asset is yourself.
Put out a video. Optimise it. Use the right keywords and ensure you’ve got the SEO down. You don’t pay a single dollar, but you’ve got to put in the work.

People don’t like it when I speak, but I’m still going to speak up. When you speak or share your ideas, it’s inevitable that you will receive some comments. Some of them will be hurtful. Some will be constructive.
I’ve been speaking for so long that these comments have become regular for me and there’s a reason why I continue to speak even when there is a high possibility that I will receive some negative comment.
It’s because I am extremely passionate about the message that I’m sending when I speak.
Also, I speak the truth
I believe in transparency, to my clients and to my employees.

This is how you never run out of content ever again
You just need one long-form content. It can be in any format, whether it’s a video or a blog post. When you have that one, then the real fun can begin. You see, one piece of content can be broken up into many pieces and converted into different formats. Let’s say you have a video. What is the topic you’re discussing in the video? Turn it into a blog post.
From there, you can even split up the blog post into smaller articles, each dedicated to a specific point you mentioned in the longer blog post.
Go deeper. Take a quote from the article and do up some graphics. You can then post this on other social media platforms!
You can even extract audio from the video to post it as a podcast.
The thing about people is that everyone has different preferences when it comes to consuming content. Some people enjoy listening while others prefer to read. Therefore, it’s really good to keep in mind how you can present the same content in different formats
Your content might be 5 minute long. In that 5 minutes, some of it might resonate strongly with people and others might not. Not everyone is going to enjoy every single minute of your content and that’s okay. Are you going to throw away the entire video if people don’t love every minute?
No!
You take the part that people love and emphasize it. You re-present it in different formats. Let’s say that people really love a quote you mentioned in the video. You can’t make another video of yourself just saying the quote... That would be ridiculous!
Make a quote graphic.
One piece of content can give you several other pieces.
As a business, putting out content consistently will help you establish yourself as a thought leader. Start putting out content today. Now that you know how to never run out of content ever again, what's stopping you?
